How do you pronounce these?

Pull, full, bull.

Do you say them as in hull? (short U sound) Or as in pool? (long U sound, like double O)

I have a friend that says bullshit like BOOLshit, and he says pull and full with the same U sound.

How do you say it?

Also, post where you're from/region.

I dont say it like hull (Huhl) but I dont say it like pool either. Kinda in the middle and hard to explain. I'm from the northeastern USA.

No, we're both from the Cincinnati area. A lot of people say it with the "oo" sound, but there are some that say it with the U sound. I think the double O just sounds wrong.

I have only ever heard people pronounce dull like it is pronounced on that site, the right way. Dull doesn't rhyme with full or bull.

He doesn't use the double O sound, like pool, so those are right

the pronunciation on the site does use the oo sound, look right under the sound clip button and it shows the pronunciation as [bool]

and lol apparently gato pronounces dull as dool

and 5HEEP just go listen to the links I posted, those are the correct pronunciations of all 4 words

pull, full, and bull all sound similar

dull does not sound like any of those words
