FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU way to overdraft my debit account assholes. It specifically said it would charge to my credit card if I had insufficient funds but noooooooooo you had to go and overdraft. way to be.

i got stuck in an never-ending hole of overdraft once. i hadnt cashed my paycheck yet and i used my card for gas and spent like $2 too much, the bank charged me for $35 overdraft fee. this overdrew my already overdrawn account. $35 again. and again. and again. and then some more.


i went to deposit my check and found out i was $2000 in debt. the bank cleared all the charges for me though, even the original orverdraft fee. then i got overdraft protection on my account.

apparently it will charge my other card once it gets notices from the bank that I have insufficient funds, but for now I think I'm going to get charged the overdraft fee.

i accidentally did that once, went into the bank and talked to someone, they were pretty understanding and waived it for me
i go to a smaller local bank though

ya, i got fucked over by the paypal usd -> cdn exchange rate today. i figured i better to it today or else its gonna be worse tomorrow, since the cdn dollar seems to be only going up.

exactly what happened to me when i left the states.
Its the gay ass useless American accounts that just want to build debt. In Canada, you can't overdraft, it just says insufficient funds.

just some life knowledge: whenever you get overdraft fees if you go into your bank and complain/explain about what happened, they will usually reverse them. All bank employees, at least at most major banks are allowed to reverse up to 3 overdraft charges on your account at a time.

Turn off overdraft protection so that the transaction just gets denied. Way better IMO

i am on td canada trust and i can over draft my chequing. i have to stop that though. its cheaper to use my low interest visa card then have the overdraft interest charged.
