What is a blind 270?

I've skiied since i was 4 but never hit anything having to do with freestyle till i was 10 when i switched to snowboarding for 5 years, at the end of that five years i went back to skiing realizing how much a pain of an ass snowboarding was, and how much steezier skiing is. I new so stay with me. What is a blind spin (off rail)?

ps. I slide right foot forward, and i spin naturally left, so when i 270 out i turn left and land straight, NOT switch, is that blind?

yeah any spin where you go blind immediately is a blind spin. also called backside sometimes

when you spin you cant see your landing for a moment therefore blind. I tend to call it backside tho.

a blind would be spinning back towards the rail so after 90 degrees you should be looking at the rail

and OP, yes that is blind, if you did it the other way that would be pretzel.

frontside = pretzel (usually, though you can have a front side not be pretzel.)
backside = blind

no you said that really confusing. pretzel just means you spin the opposite way you last did, so if you do a left 270 on, a right 270 off would be a pretzel. has nothing to do with FS or BS

you can do a blind 2 just think about it in relation ship to where you're going to be after the first 90 degrees of your rotation if you're facing up the hill or towards the rail you're spinning blind(aka backside) if you're facing down the hill away from rail you're spinning open(aka frontside)
