Need fast help 60D vs GH2
i am looking at purchasing one of these two cameras within the next 4 days ... both are great but i am stuck should i get the gh2 or the 60d its mainly for video but i want good quality photos as well.. dont tell me to get the t2i or 7d i am not interested in those ive looked at them over and over and i decide on these to.. give me ur ideas... pros and cons in thoughts... gh2 vs 60d?
i am leaning towards the gh2
I'd honestly stick with canon if I were you, but I've heard good shit about hacked GH1s, I recommend just doing all the homework on both and make the decision yourself.
As far as feel goes, the 60d felt amazing to hold, it had good weight and a solid construction, the flip out screen is a unique feature, however making adjustments to the lens with it flipped out was a little awkward. But if you're using a tripod it shouldn't be an issue. As far as features go, I use a t2i so the features are very similar (recording format, firmware, recording to sd). Now this is a biased review because I have not even used a gh1, I am just giving you my opinion on the 60d, plus I have to give Canon a good review, I have been very pleased so far.

I've heard the same thing. search both cameras on vimeo. there are tons of comparison videos/demos etc that you can learn from...as Heath said, do your research. I think you will be satisfied with either, but see which sounds like it will work best for you...(I personally love my Canon, but also love my Panasonic HVX...so I have a liking for each company haha)
Considering it isn't December in 4 days, it appears to me you can't have a GH2 in your hands in 4 days.

7D lol fuck the 60D the bodies made of plastic.
I got the Gh2 from japan (where they started sellings them)
its sick my glidecam and my vid mic
i also got the fat gecko mount.. trying out some new car videos
thanks for the opinions
the 60d felt like it was a glorified t2i
i saw both cameras the gh2 had much more to offer
And? It's not the same plastic as on a plastic bottle. Sure, it's not magnesium alloy but it's definitely not weak material.
Canon DSLRs are optically better, but the Panasonics have MUCH less alias/moire issues. If you're going to film lots of intricate patterns with deep focus, you might want a GH2. You may also even get sharper footage since you pretty much have to turn sharpness all the way down on a Canon DSLR if you don't want it to look like shit. But there are also more support options for the Canons...
If you get a GH2, definitely hack it.
