if your getting this camera as your main camera then dont get an HDSLR, its a pain to use as your main camera, maybe as a secondary camera, but trust me youll want a legitimate video camera as your main camera

You do know that SP is actually smart and doesn't actually count your posts in AAG right? They did that on purpose so idiots like you wouldn't post whore just to be able to sell shit. To the OP why not just post it on Ebay? Just like NS, SP is full of people who will say they'll buy something and then back out. Ebay is definitely a better choice to sell something.

Dude, af100 are you kidding me? You're fucking 14, you don't need a 5g body + 2gs in lenses. You should stick with your fx1000 (as it is a good hdv camera, can produce just as good footage as any camera right now) or get an hmc150 AT THE MOST. You don't need a high end professional camera that is worth 7-8gs+. Regardless, if you had 8gs to blow (which would be ridiculous) you'd probably have a hard time even getting your hands on the first couple of waves of af100s, they're gonna be hard to get for awhile. Just be a trend whore, like you are, and get a t2i.

Can you include some info, or facts to support your opinion?

I have an HDSLR for my main camera, because i upgraded from a standard miniDV cam, and I find no pain in using it as my main. Sure, if I had an ex-1 my 7D would not be my main. However for someone who is pretty familiar with both video and dslr cameras, its really not hard or "painful" to use...

this is coming from a guy with a dvx whos used his friends t2i so i may not be entirely right about the controls in the t2i, but for me i just enjoy the feeling of having a big sturdy camera in front of me, rather than a dslr, this also may be the same for the op, becuase he films with an fx1000, also i enjoy the zebra stripes in video cameras to make sure im not overexposed, also, audio quality on HDSLR's is sufficently worse than "video cameras" correct me if im wrong here its just what ive noticed but of course if your just filming skiing then you wont care about this, but are op is quite talented for his age so he may need this, HDSLR video is recorded by linearly scanning across the camera’s CMOS sensor one pixel at a time, which can lead to “rolling shutter” distortions, aka, “Jello-cam.” but that is just my take on it, personally i would recommend op get an HMC150 like i stated above

I filmed with a GL2 for 2 years and upgraded to 7D and didnt have an issue with the sizing at all. In fact i prefer the smallness and feel.

Magic Lantern is a firmware that can be installed onto both the t2i and 5Dii, that has the zebra stripes function, as well as manual audio controls and other functions- how legitimate those audio controls are is something i dont know, i dont use magic lantern, but i know lots that do and speak highly of it. Recently a beta version came out for the 7D as well.

The built in audio is definitely not good. However once an external mic is used, the audio is at the level of the GL2 mic, and better.

I personally have never had an incounter with the infamous rolling shutter issue in my 6months with the 7D. Although I have known people that have. There is a tutorial on vimeo on how the newest version of iMovie has a feature that can either greatly reduce the distortion and maybe even get rid of it completely (I dont remember exactly).

Im not telling the kid to get an HDSLR, im just simply stating my knowledge of having one, and what theyre capable of.

He's not going to get much better results with an HMC150 over an FX1000 (although I'm a panasonic guy myself).

OP, why the hell do you need shallow DOF for filming skiing? SUre it's pretty, but I highly suggest you continue to focus on devoloping skills further and further instead of trying to be "on top" of technology. You will NEVER be ontop of technology.

Hell, buying a book on composition and lighting will make you a better filmer than buying an AF100, or even a RED epic will. Take a step back ans think about WHY you "need" a camera with a single large sensor. You don't.

If your primary focus is to film action ski footage, DSLRs are simply not optimal because skiing involves lots of fast moving subjects and little to no opportunity to track focus.

Although, the small size is a lifesaver when I'm touring. My backpack used to be occupied by a video camera and one extra "lens." Now I can fit a body, 4 lenses, filters, viewfinder, rails, FF, the works. Also, the fact that I can use a real telephoto is a lifesaver, but now I need a better tripod head...

well yeah but then it'll be darker (you'll have to compensate somehow)  and kill your DOF which is one of the nice things about DSLR's.

Shallow DOF is a bad thing for action sports. In fact, no professional filmmaker will try to achieve the shallowest DOF possible because it is almost never beneficial. In what possible circumstance is it useful to have only half of a person's eye in focus? Stopping down to at least get a few feet of DOF is mandatory to even have a person in focus.
