Decided I wanted to play. managed to find the disk. Shit is made fun. Got one park raging. Haven't built the mega coaster of doom yet.

I am kind of bummed I have a mac now... but at the same time I have no reason to be. Macs are awesome.. I just wish someone would port RTC and RTC2

yeaaa that game was epic! I had every single one of them, 1, 2 & 3 with most of their expansion packs! another SICK game is Ski Resort tycoon 1 & 2!!!!!

I haven't played it in a week or so. Was dominating hard this time around. I have parks with a shit ton of money. One park almost at a million. Doin that shit right. Of course I still drown the bitchy guests once in a while, but I'm much more of a people person this time around.



Just brought back so many memories of playing all the time when i was like 12-16. I think the window was somewheres in there. Good times, def an A+ game. Wish I could find 2 and 3.

Pretty sure a torrent of 3 is out there because thats how I have it. 3 is great if you like building more realistic coasters (especially with the soaked/wild add-ons, the "extended coaster" is dope).

you just have to drown a guest now and then. Keeps the rest of them on their toes. Same with killing an entire coaster full of riders. Remind everyone of how quickly life can end, and use that as justification for buying a $12 hamburger, despite already paying $45 to enter the park, and $5 per ride.

Loved this game back in the day. Well..I still do, but I dont have the disc anymore.

simcity2000 has become my new domain. Ridiculously easy. But damnit, I want to express my creativity by building roller coasters.

I always build a mega coaster. The one was worth a few hundo k, miles long, it went as high as the land could go, as high as the coaster could go, and had boosters the whole flat until it went straight down. The g's were insane. It was in the upper 20s intensity.


Nobody would ride it but if i changed it to shooting out and coming back down the first hill, i could get a full line of people then shoot it out at max speed to fuck their days up.




Then you have the old, shoot 4 rollercoasters into a path hanging above water at the same time. So many fun ways to kill people. I used to be one sadistic bastard of a child. ahhhh, the good old days.

haha making rollercoasters that made like 20 g's was really funny. you'd make the tallest drop possible and when it hits the bottom it takes the smallest turn possible at like 140mph.

Lol I loved this game, so sick. I would make those boomerang coasters where you do a circuit and come back down it backwards, and made the track end really really short so the trains went flying off the track and killed all the passengers, omg hours of fun lol I was a sick little child as well haha

I use to like the helix. Bring it as high as you can, and make it go all the way down in a helix. Starts out innocently enough, but by the time you reach the bottom, its experiencing constant 20g turns, and going 150mph. Then throw in 1 straight piece of straight track, and immediately make it go back up in a helix.

loved my deathcosters. Though there was still a great deal of satisfaction that came with building a perfect coaster that makes millions and always has a full line. I built this 1 perfect wooden rollercoaster, saved the design, and put it in almost every one of my parks.

I used to play this ALLLLLLL the time. I remember I would just make the coasters that launched out of the station and make them go like straight up. Then I'd put a full load of people on it and watch as the coaster flew up in the air with all the people screaming, then chuckle to myself as it fell back to earth and exploded. I was a sick kid. Haha

without a doubt my favourite game of all time, got it in a cheerios cereal box. i searched my whole house a couple weeks back looking for it but was unsuccessful. I still have hope that it will show up again someday.

RCT2: my fave was always either the lava one (with lava log flumes?!?!?!?) and/or the ones where money didnt exist...and i built sickening yet amazing coasters of death. oh lord here comes the adrenaline.

just got home for thanksgiving break digging through some of my old computer games. got so excited when i saw Rollercoaster Tycoon. Then I saw it was the expansion and not the actual game. I still cant play.

Leafy lake is the shit. Just develop all your little rides along the side and get enough money for crazy intersecting coasters in the middle.

i seem to rememeber the best part about leafy lake was the fact that you had unlimited funds. or maybe that was a different map

but referring to rc1, dynamite dunes was a sick level. i also remember jacking umbrella prices to $7 or so whenever it rained so people HAD to give me extra money.

I got that one for christmas but never really got into it. I would make the gnarliest stuff and people would never ski it. The computer players were just too stupid. You also had to name runs and stuff. It was a real bitch to even get people going up the lifts.

I'm not sure which version but it wasn't great. The best part was when you got to freeski on your mountain.

I don't make my shit too overkill expensive. Rollercoasters are and some other rides. Some rides break even, and some rides are free.


I already have them at the max I can charge without denying the poor people, and it tells me to increase my price. Try and give the poor people some lame rides and suck the money out of the rich with my coasters.

Fuck anyone that complains about my park. I may not be 10, but I still drown the bastards every once in a while.



It's amazing how perfect this game is. The og version. They really couldn't have done a better job on it. Everything is just fucking awesome. One of the easiest games to play for long periods of time without realizing.

just build a bunch of the premade coasters. Those things bring in money, then when you make less then 2 bucks or 1.50, demolish and replace it with the same line, samepathways and everything, then charge 3 bucks again

Have like 4 of them if you need to when building the mega coaster.

I just find that sort of boring. Takes away from the challenge... also I dislike a lot of the premade coasters, such crappy track designs.

Yeah like one will build one or two prebuilt to have a steady income then build from there. Or at least that's what I do. And when I unlock go carts, I jump on that shit. Makes sooo much money.

its all about experimenting. Build 1 park by the book and make ridiculous profit. Then make space and mess around designing your own, find 1 that makes a ton of money and is cheap, then save the design and you have a custom prebuilt coaster that will make a ton of money.

My favorite one that I ever made was a wooden coaster, with an L shape. Had 1 big drop at the start, then coasted through a series of hills, a 90 banked turn, another hill, a 180 bank turn, more hills, and finally into the start again. Somehow everything about it worked perfectly. Everyone loved it, and i could charge any amount and people would keep coming back
