What video editing software has this guy used to make this effect?

hey guys,

i'm trying to create an edit which replicates the same sort of format as one that I've seen on somebody else's video. For some reason the video embed function isn't working for me right now so here is the link:

I'm trying to make the same thing with the calendar effect. i'm pretty sure he used a MBP. does anybody know what editing software he would have used and how hard it would be to do the same thing?

out of curiosity. what does him using a mbp have anything to do with the effect?

I thought mac's had software that weren't available on other computers. I may be wrong as I've never owned a mac or have done video editing before.

That was most likely done on After Effects altho there a few other programs that are capable of that effect.

next time you need help with an effect post here: https://newschoolers.com/ns/forums/readthread/thread_id/551255/

that effect is probably done in after effects, and I'm guessing he got the picture of the calendar then animated the text on it. Once that was done he made a new composition and dragged the composition with the text and calendar into the new ones timeline. Once you do that just make a new camera and keyframe the panning motion.

Cool, thanks for the help. I had a look at Adobe After Effects and it costs quite a bit! however, i found some torrents that look promising, so i might download it.
