Rodeo 5 ?

I've been working on rodeos and cant seem to get them. I was wondering if anyone has any tips for it because it seems like tons of people can do them no problems.

tuck your shoulder down and roll over like your rolling over in bed and just roll out of it, when your rolling out of it look for the landing and just keep your eye on the landing, if you have a good eye on the landing it will alomst put you right where you want to be. do you have a tram or diving board??

to me rodeo's are one of the easyest hard tricks to do. if that makes any sense

i'd agree, they're actually really easy off big jumps, kinda just learn with em off the lip and it comes around so smoothly. Just picture it in your head and do what you think you'd need to do.

ya thats the main trick i really want to learn this year any good tips would be helpful.  i try them on tramps but i always just do basically a spinning backflip a video that breaks it down or tips would be reallly nice. thanks

if you are having trouble doing them when you come around look back up to where the knuckle would be. puts you around to that full five.

neither.... turning and rolling forward is misty. rodeo = 90 backflip 90

I never understand this either...I have been trying to get a flat / rodeo on skis for so long, and I think this year I might just try a misty because even though it is a forward rotation I think it might chance when I take off a jump and am traveling forward? idk though...

if you cant pull a trick on a trampoline...you have no business trying it on skis. PERIOD. Think is looks so easy for everyone? Can you even do a straight up back flip?

Wonder why ski resorts get sued? Terrain parks get closed? Helmets and other rules become mandatory?

Because dumb ass kids huck inverts...and they have no idea where to be, no clue on the rotation, have no inverted air sense, they didnt progress up to the trick. Its huck and pray. It equals serious injuries eventually...which just hurts the sport horribly in the long run.

Remember Kevin Pearce? Did everyone forget that NBC and other huge broadcast had segments that want snowboarding out of the Olympics because of his injury(not huck..just an injury..but the general public doesnt understand that).

Do us a friggin favor and practice first. I am so sick of kids getting carted/life-flighted simply because they were trying tricks extremely out of their league.

I agree with the trying things out of your league park but not the trampoline thing.... yes you should be able to do some sort of invert on a tramp if you are going to try on skis but you dont need that particular trick. I learned corks, double corks, and double backs on skis before trampoline. and I still cant dub cork on a tramp

pretty sure tj knows what a rodeo is. its a trick that is thrown way differently by different people. some people throw it more like a lincoln and others throw it more like a back flip.

Never done one on snow but I have on tramps. Just do a back and kinda twist your shoulder into it. I find it comes around perfectly into a 5.

if you can do a backflip then andreas' way is easier. I learned them the same way as him too, straight backflips and just gradually started going more off axis until i naturally started coming around 5

seems like andreas method would set you more for a flat 5 instead of a rodeo 5. But then again they are really similar in rotation.

just throw your legs over they shoulder you are gonna spin toward and it will come around. its super easy to spot your landing also

I'm just bringing this thread back because I need help and nobody answered on the trick tip forum. I keep over rotating my rodeo 5s. I can't seem to get it all I can do is 7's +k for help. By the way I am talking about on the trampoline

Good for you for searchbarring instead of making a new thread. You're probably looking around again instead of spotting. Try spotting the landing a little before 360 and don't stop looking at it until you land.
