Yes, I know there is an absurd amount of threads like these. I just need NS's recommendation on a good 14-DIN binding for a kid like me who is 5'11 155lbs. Ive tried the STH-14's. Good binding but a little too heavy. So shoot me some recommendations.

The only thin I can really think of that are lighter than STH 14s are Tyrolia Peak 15s

I like the FKS better, but since the brakes bend a little easier I use the Tyrolias on park skis.  Everything else is FKS all the way, bombproof.

I use both as well. Usually end up with the Tyrolia/fischer/head etc because i usually find them for cheaper. That being said, I do love my FKS as well.

fks are super solid bindings.
916's are pretty bomb too.

I'd never ridden on tyrollia's til last season, and they felt pretty good. Solid but I never had a fall so can't comment on releasing.

How are the 12's?

Im only 125 pounds and i used Marker Griffon (c'mon, i know, bring the hate), but they were great for me, and i really beat on them for 50-60 days of skiing. They're light and i never had problems with releasing...or not releasing

Can't say for sure, personally I wouldn't use them, they seem to plastic-y and they kind of look/feel like junior bindings. That being said, I've never ridden them So I can't say for sure, but I will say that the only 12 din binding I'd ever use would be the FKS 120.

If u want a lighter binder still in the 14 din range, i'd look at the rossi freeski/axial2 binder. The def won't let u down

There isn't many bindings out there which are lighter than STH14's. They are light as shit, and why do you care about weight. Makes no difference to swing weight. Sounds to me like you need to hit the gym.

Light=plastic, and plastic breaks easily.

Thats not the issue. I meant to say they are a little heavy. The swing weight is fine on them. I just want to try a light binding.

Here are some weights of common bindings:

Salomon Sth 14....................- 1025 g (2.26 lbs)
Salomon s914..................... - 1175 g (2.59 lbs)
Look P12/Rossi FKS120............ - 1050 g (2.32 lbs)
Look P18/Rossi FKS185............ - 1235 g (2.72 lbs)
Salomon Sth 16.................- 1161 g (2.56 lbs)
Tyrolia MOJO 15.................. - 1185 g (2.61 lbs)
Marker Jester................ - 1000 g (2.20 lbs)


STH14 is one of the lightest out there. The only one lighter with a similar din is the jester really....
