Yeah I wear glasses and have done the whole wearin goggles over your glasses thing and that doesnt work too well for me, and also i cant do contacts because i dont like poking my eyeballs. Wheres a good place to get prescription goggles?
Yeah last year not wearing glasses skiing was getting bad. This year there is no doubt in my mind i am getting contacts for the safety of my self and those around me hah. Not to mention i think it will help my skiing a ton by actually being able to spot my landings better now. I personally dont like the sound of having to get them in and out. However i know there are goggle companys that make special lenses as long as you dont mind looking like a complete gaper. These are alright though i havent really looked into it yet. http://www.heavyglare.com/effin-goggles.html

just wear contacts you big vagina, seriously after start wearing them before the season starts so your eyes get used to the wear and you get used to taking them in and out and then you will be fine by ski time
plus wearing contacts is like being a perfectly normal person and you cant feel them in there all though being perfectly normal might come hard to you if your scared to touch your eyes
not trying to hate but you need to seriously man up
i've had contacts since 3rd grade, and they are 100000000000000x better than glasses, trust me. have you ever put in a contact lense? or are you just assuming it's going to hurt and you dont want to try it? they do not hurt at all. and i dont know what youre all talking about with the in and out, i wake up and directly put mine in, then take them out right before i go to bed. takes about 10 seconds to put them in and out. you will be over the fear of "poking you eyes" (which you cant feel at all) in probably less than two days. and once theyre in you cant feel them

Glasses on weekdays, contacts on ski weekends man. It's the way to go. I like contacts for certain activities but they do give me headaches and dry my eyes out. But they come in extremely helpful for skiing and are totally worth. Don't worry about poking your eyes, they are easy to put in and take out.
I've built up a CC (Captain Crunch) tolerance. its so nice, i can face a box and not scratch the top of my mouth or tongue at all.
if you really hate contacts you can try bolle's
they have nice lenses, i have polarized ones, and they have a few models that have like a glasses holder in the frame, i don't know that many details but u should check it out

I suggest you try a different brand of contact lens. You should be able to wear a daily disposable lens for at least 12 hours, just remember to blink.
Plus I know they are expensive but you can actually use dailys for a 2 or 3 days if you take em out and put them in monthly cleaning solutions. I don't do this myself but a friend was told to by his optician and it works fine for him, but then he only wears them for sport.
I skiied 2 seasons with glasses and it sucked... Last year I finally got contacts and it makes a HUGE difference. It takes a bit to get used to them, but after a while, they make skiing a hell of a lot more fun - your glasses don't fog up anymore, you don't risk bending them if you eat shit, and you don't have to search for goggles that will fit over your frames. Plus, if you do any other sports, contacts make those a lot better too.
Good way to go blind, I do not advise this. I've done it, but I like to avoid it at all costs. Ideally you shouldn't wear contacts all the time - its bad for your eyes to wear them 12 hours a day every day of the week.
Contact lens tip: if you're going out for the night and know you're going to sleep in your clothes on someone's couch, fill your contact lens case up with solution before going out. Put it in your pocket, and then when you want to just pass out you can pop your contact lenses out super easily and wear them the next day.
ive had glasses for a few years. im short sighted (cant see stuff thats far away) and i skiied "blind" for one year. my vision is okay enough so that i only have to wear glasses to classes and such. but i just got contacts around a year ago and its safe to say that they are amazing
first time i tried them, i hated them but i wanted them so bad that i just sucked it up. but after a month or two, ive gotten use to them. used em for grad, prom, etc.
contacts-movies,skiing, going out etc.
bottum line, try contacts. start out with daily ones and work your way up to either two weeks or monthlys

I feel sorry for people who don't drink. They wake up in the morning and that's the best they're gonna feel all day
