Can't Open Links in a New Tab

It started a few days ago. I can't simply hold the command key (on a mac) and click a link to open it in a new tab without having to right click the link and select "open in new tab". I mean, it's not thaaat big of a deal, I just thought I'd point it out to see if anyone else is getting this...

I hope that makes sense. Anyone else having this problem in firefox?

It's annoying is because it wastes so much of my potential NS time when I forget, and click, expecting a new tab to open only to realize that I have to right click and then select "open a new tab" instead. It wastes like 3 seconds of my life everytime I do it, so it's like a whole 2 minutes of the past few days are just GONE now.

exactly how i feel.... haha but really i accidently forget its from the ns page and close it...and have to reopen ns likke ten minutes

You need to hold control instead of command. Or maybe that was just a typo and that is what you do and it still doesn't work. I just tested it (mac using safari) and it's working for me.

no, the control button gives you the same effect as right clicking on a PC. what i'm talking about is pressing the command (apple) button while clicking on it to have the link open a new tab. As of this past week, NS is the ONLY website it does not work on for me.

and god dammit, I tried it again to open this thread. how ironic.

just did it. worked for me. prob not the site, maybe one of the settings on your comp got fucked up?

I am on a windows vista machine and using latest Firefox and have the same problems.

Also it works with Chrome...the open in new tab by ctrl+click.

Same issue (Mac + Firefox). Really annoying, this needs fixed.

Also the massive background clickable link is lame.

agreed. its a pain in the ass.

ctrl click is broken on both my computers- win xp + firefox and win vista + firefox. NS is the only site it doesn't work on so it's not settings on my end that have changed

YES!

But anyway, vista with firefox, i get this as well. Not that much of a bother though. I just click the scroll wheel of my mouse down. Works just like ctrl+click.
