I'd say yes. After skiing a pair of s7's last year at a demo when we had some fresh i feel in love with pow skis and decided right there to start a little savings fund to get a pair for next year...and i live in PA hahaha. Ill be taking a trip out west as well as vermont and NY where lake effect occurs so i should get some good use out of them hopefully. I got the bent chetlers and on3p blue steeles for park
"filthier than finger banging your little sister and finding your dad's wedding ring"
"so whatever, she's drunk, she won't remember."
You're in Whistler and it's a La Nina year.
GET SOME POWDER SKIS.
At your height and weight, I would get something at least 185cm in length and at least 115mm in the waist. Now what to get depends on your style if it's charging vs. something more playful. If you want to maximize the use, get something with 3-stage rocker that will handle the day or two after a storm as well as when it was fresh.
what is your price for amazing amounts of fun? like everyone else said, it doesnt have to be new and fancy, you can pick up used hellbents or one of last years skis on sale for pretty cheap if you look around
At that price, how could you not buy it? But really, I have to think that 130 in the waist for a kid your size is overkill. Plus, you're gonna hate yourself on traverses. I think the Prophet 115 (179 length) would be way more suitable.
Pow skis change everything. Now that I have powder skis, I will never go back to not having a set. When it gets deep, 85 mid waists dont cut it. Its like riding your Vespa to a biker bar, it can be done, but why would you want to.
