meh, I let people tell me how to take pictures about as much as I let people tell me how to ski. I think it's fun and that's who I'm doing it for, with that said here is another long exposure of water.

I would like to get a long exposure of a rapid with a kayaker in it though sort of like this one, it's a bitch to keep a kayak still in that though.

so much arguing and not more than one or two constructive post...

You did a really good job making sure that the water isn't over exposed. I also like how you can still see some texture in the water. When it is too smooth i think it looks too fake, but I like what you did with it.

That being said, your composition needs some work and the subjects are pretty cliche. Basically, nothing really stands out too much your shots. Not bad, but nothing outstanding.

The one shot that I do really like is the last one. The last one works for me because the composition of the waterfall leads the eye around the frame in an effective manner. Also, the foliage around the water frames the waterfall very well.

Keep it up!

You could do a long exposure of the water without the kayaker, and to a quick shot of the kayak.  Photoshop together afterward.  It might look really photoshopped, but it would be a cool effect if you did a good job.

What could be cool is to put two or three flashes inside the kayak at maximum power, go back at night, and do a long exposure of the water. Pop the flashes to make the kayak glow and light up the kayaker's face at the same time, and it could be awesome.... at the risk of watering down your lights.


I'd like to do it one day though, so no stealing my idea.
