started last season around february, started by just getting some gear and heading up the hill.

started after watching corey vanulars blackcomb edit, the first edit ive ever watched, and i havent looked back since

im actually pretty decent now for only 2 months of skiing, frontflips, up to 720s and 270s on and off rails

well mainly my dad was into it growing up as a teenager and so did my mom as well. So they started me and my sisters off skiing at 3 years old. From that point on, I never looked back and I've been skiing ever since. And I have loved every minute of it.

The school I went to kindergarten at took all the students skiing on Fridays.  Since then I've skied every single year with last year being the best with 125 days on snow.

My name is Rowen, and I am a skier.

I started when I was -2 years old. Dont try to one up that, you cant.

First gear I used was a sweet ass backpack, legs hangin out the bottom and wearing a silly hat, oh yeah.

And I didnt get a choice, I missed Saturday morning cartoons to drive for a long time and then be cold.

And I'm doing pretty good, how are you?

all because of my mommy. I started when I was 5 yrs old, now I'm going to school for ski hill management... Kinda got hooked on the sport.

started skiing when i was 3 but i started skiing park at 17 after i went to icer air in san fran and i spent my money i saved up from the summer on some ar6s and i have been into it ever since

I started skiing because I had stopped ice hockey due to the club shutting down :( But i had to stop for a year because of my hockey and basketball.  I recently started lessons again just cause I wanna make sure I have all the regular skiing down before I do freestyle. I'm not bad skking is a lot like skating . oh and I'm 14 . :) your stories are all cool :D

Used to live in france, went/still go on average for 5 weeks every year since I was about 2, my dad taught me and my brother. Got interested in park about 3 years ago and now ski twice a week on snowflex, about once a month indoor, and last year I got a total of 36 days on real mountains! YEAH!

i idolized dumont and tanner boosting out of the pipe when i was a wee little gaper. i was itching to get in the park so i bought my first pair of twins, 1080s. saw MSPs Push and really havent looked back

this but it was only 4 yeears ago and i went out and bought a air of volkl ledges. i started in middle school in grade7 since r school did a trip every thursday up to the mountain

well, i can thank my friend. first time skiing with same old friends (school trip)
they took me into park and i was like ''WTF IS THIS MAAAAAAN!?!?''
they showed me some jumps, few years i was just kidding and doing little little moves
afta that i got stoked in skiing, got my first twins and now im crazy aaaaaaaaas CHICKEN!

started skiing about 4 years ago, my cousin came from south America and her mom paid for me and her to get ski lessons, i was not bad didn't fall once my 1st time, don't remember falling much after that either.

got a season pass and went up by myself, taught myself and saw kids in the park so i taught myself to jib by looking at what other people were doing and such. (in race single tip 185' skis hahaha)

Now its my life, i will never give it up and im decent in general.

Family ski trip at the age of 6. Then played soccer/ track for a bit and caught the bug again in the 10th grade. Been an addict since.

Started skiing before age 2, because I lived 500 yds from the Standard lift at Mount Snow .. because of the joy I get from skiing, I haven't stopped since, and never plan on it. It brought me to Squaw

Parents started me skiing when I was 3, then they bought a ski chalet up in a bigger mountain. Did racing for 3 years then switched to park 2 years ago.

I was 2, and had a hot pink edgy wedgy. It took me 45 min to get down the bunny hill. My mom lapped me quite a few times. Now i lap her. I loved it...and havent stopped since. :) I raced for a few years, but that was too much stress...so i went freestyle. Best choice ever.

I credit my dad for getting me into skiing, probably started around 5 years of age, serious skiing started around 16 or so, getting my first seasons pass

Last year i got my first pair of twin tip skis, previously i had never skied anything with more than 85 underfoot, not i am stepping up to ON3Ps with 96 underfoot, As far as skill wise, I am not a park guy, but i do enjoy hitting jumps and small rails,

The woods is what i am all about, getting speed and maneuvering through trees is the best thing IMO, Love it and will always love it

i can't remember specifically at what age i started skiing, but i know we took lessons and went for a good 4-5 winters/years. my dad wanted to go, so my brother's and i and him went every weekend. i remember at some point, every sunday lying in bed and feeling like i was still riding down the hills because my legs must have been so exhausted. i might have been 7. then we just stopped. and i picked up snowboarding a few years later, stopped again, and been snowboarding the past three years, and i'm ready to mount my skis this year :D(school completely drained me financially last year) i ride for the main reason anyone else does, there's nothing that feels better than riding all day in the snow. the sounds the smell. everything is perfect. i feel at peace.

Started skiing in new hampshire/vermont at 10 on my first trip with my dad, at first i just went to get away from the uk, skiied all around europe and at christmas time i thought it would be cool to get a pair of park skis and boots, then went the are, sweden in feburary and had a 2 hour park and pipe lesson, now im hooked, just cant wait to get out there haha.

We use to just go on lil trips here and there and then my parents put me on the ski team for 2 years then I downloaded freeskier podcast on iTunes and liked it and did my first season of freeskiing and got 5s and 2 on and off

I started skiing when I was very small, my first time up a chair was at about 2 years old. when I was maybe 4 I was put on a ski bus and shipped up to norquay every saturday to learn how to ski. At about 10, I saw ski movie and joined a freestyle ski team, from then till I was 15 I skied every saturday sunday for the whole season. 15-19 I started getting 100+ day seasons and now I am in college back to weekend warrior status.

my neighbor gave me his old school tele setup right before he passed away of cancer when i was like 5. I clearly didn't fit into the stuff cause it was for an adult but was in indiana so no hills no problem. just sorta slid around the backyard for hours on end. my parents then hooked me up with lessons at a local mound cause they realized i wasn't going to stop tearing up the yard. been skiing for 23 years since

This is complete bullshit, are u saying your first time on skiis was in febuary, or your first time doin freestyle was in febuary.

I started on skiis at the age of 11.
started skiing more than 5 days a year last year when i skied 100 plus.
Starting skiing seriously last year cause of my love of snow.
can ski almost anything. best trick 540, 720 0f BC kickers. and most rails, some 270 out.

I've been skiing my whole life. I used to do family trips to Okemo, tried snowboarding between 2nd-3rd grade or so. I decided I didn't like it so i switched back to skiing.

I got into park at the beginning of the 2007-2008 winter, had a rough time with injuries during 08-09 winter, and didn't really get to ski at all. But kept this past winter because i love the people, and relaxed attitudes surrounding the sport, everybody is just so much more open minded regarding other skiers than people are off the mountain.

now days I'm doing pretty well, staying happy, keeping grades up (despite skiing almost every day after school), and if you must know my tricks, watch for yourself; Bombing Productions' "Countdown" and or one of the edits on my profile, as I don't like claiming.

Dad taught me how to ski when i was 2, went once a year to whistler for a week just renting skis + boots. started getting interested in park skiing at 14. got my own gear and season pass for home mountain at 15. now i'm 16 and have become truly addicted.

Well I snowboard, but I went with cub scouts in 4th grade and got hooked. I broke my knee cap snowboarding/skateboarding (it's complicated) in 7th grade, and quit until last year.
