Do something your passionate about, for example find a way that skiing has effected your life. If you want to write a good paper write something you actually give a shit about, it will not only be a better paper, but it will also be easier to write.

its a college essay. like for the common app. it can be about anything you want. id like to do it about skiing but im not really sure how i would make it interesting. ive never really written anything like this before

you need to write it about something that you truely believe in and is unique to you
mabs if u have a sumemr setup
mabs why u like tuning skis
mabs why u enjoy the freedom of skiing
or somehting like that it doesnt have to be skiing just something that you do that the 6958854 other applicants dont
i wrote mine about a kid in my freestyle group that i coached and how he was soooo stoked to be on skis and lived in the moment (kids legit too hes 8 and can do 270 on and tail 5s)

do something unique. something you have done that few other people have or about an experience. dont write about sports . you need something unique that catches the eye of the reader. the average essay is glanced at for 45 sec so make it count

write on something you feel you can elaborate on and really show what you feel about it. Examples, skiing, family, other hobbies. Maybe someone who has impacted your life deeply.

Honestly, none of us can answer this. It has to be something thats very close to you and something that makes you different. It's all about making you stand out among the others.

I wrote mine about my lacrosse stringing/dyeing business I had for two years and all the stuff I learned and how *insert college name* could help me learn more. I got accepted to places I think I shouldn't have gotten into.

The world is a scary place to a small child?  I tend to think it gets scarier the older you grow.  As a child everythings sunshine and daisys, not so much when you get older- especially in relation to the future US

Write about a time you took the road less traveled.

I did this for a prompt one time. Went off on a wild tangent. Its very open ended, you can do a true story for a fiction story depeding on your creativity. Go crazy with it, its the most fun that way.

When I did it I wrote about moving trees, the vines from Jumanji , giant lumberjacks, and a flat tire... it all made sense when i put it together.
