My Town's Fucked Up

I'm from a suburb of Chicago on Lake Michigan called Evanston. We are basically a melting pot of all the surburbs around us. We have every race there is. About 5 years ago a janitor at my school was arrested for selling crack, another janitor at a different school was arrested when they found a gun on him in school. A few students have been shot at my high school in the last 5-6 years and last year some guy whose girlfriend broke up with him came to the school trying to shoot as many kids as he could, but he pussied out when he saw police. This morning, at around 4 o'clock in the morning, a man walking his dog near a middle school in Evanston came across a headless body. His dog sniffed it out and brought him to it. Apparently the man made a pipe bomb, put it in his mouth and blew his head up. There was another bomb about 20 feet away that was not yet detonated. There's a possibility he was trying to hurt some kids at the school or something because i mean, who makes two bombs to kill themself? Stuff like this makes me not like living here

Yep, but the side of town where northwestern is is pretty nice. When you get over to where the high school is, it's basically the middle of the ghetto. Bad place for a school

ahhahaaha. my mom's side of the family all live in evanston, and its a nice ass town filled with wealthy families, yet it can have its sketchy parts/areas. didn't know some of this shit happened. My cousins all went to Saint A's school, if that helps you know the location of evantson they live in. But seriously how can you think it is so bad?

haha not a lot happens in vt, there are ups, like this not happening, but also downs, like never getting the cool stuff of big cities (shopping, big name concerts, etc.)

evanston has the super rich along the lakefront, but a fairly poor area as well (around ETHS).

Its very diverse because by the high school is where it gets ghetto. The north side of Evanston is pretty wealthy and nice, that's where St. A's and my house are. Down by the lakeside, there's really big houses but it kind of merges into the bad neighborhoods so it's sketchy even though rich people live there. North Evanston is the best place to live because there's not much crime and pretty wealthy people live there. BTW last friday we had a Friday night lights football game against a high school about 15 minutes away called Niles North (I got a message from a NS'er about an hour ago who graduated from there) and two black girls were fighting after the game. All the sudden one pulled out a knife and stabbed the other girl. I don't think it was fatal but i never heard much about it after that. Evanston's just a diverse town, you've got the white kids from the north who spend all their time smoking weed, the scros from south evanston who are also white but are very confused with their skin color and the straight ghetto kids near the high school.

dude, im from naperville so i can't really say shit but Evanston is not that bad i got tons of family that live there, shitty things happen everywhere, thank yourself ur not living in Cicero or somewhere that really sucks

I don't think Evanston's that bad it's just weird stuff happens. Like usually people commit suicide by jumping off buildings or shit but this guy blew his head up with a pipe bomb in the middle of a schoolyard. I know there's a lot more shitty places but i think Evanston has some bad stuff happening for a suburb that's as wealthy in some parts as it is.
