What happened to search?

There are so many classic threads that I would like to reminisce on at some point, including invaluable ones from my past... where did they all go? its in chronological order by date ? can we fix this

i hate the new search bar. because if you search more than one word, it gives you threads that have one of the two words in them, instead of threads that have both words.

Exactly. I've said it before, but I wish they would do the old searchbar format, but with more than 50 possible results.

it would be cool if they could just do it like the google searchbar. i don't know if that is possible, but its literally the only searchbar that i actually really like.

its worse than than the youtube searchbar and i really hate the youtube one. i don't know what they changed, i like the new format for when you search, but it won't search well.

Type "site:newschoolers" and then whatever you want to search into google and it works just like to google searchbar

responses to two problems posed in this thread:

1) "i wish it was the google search." just go to google and put in whatever youre looking for plus "site:newschoolers.com" and it will search the site

2) "i'm looking for an exact string." i havent tried but if its anything like normal search engines, put whatever exact string youre looking for within quotes and it should search for it exactly like that. i may be wrong on that though

I think it's hard to bitch about the searchbar that no one uses anyway.  I've seen more how to do a frontflip/rodeo/backflip/etc. threads in the last week than I think I've ever seen on the site.  It's ridiculous.
