there are a bunch of different car threads on here- but a car that is stanced or flush is what gets me going- most of these pics are off of stanceworks, vortex and bimmerforums- but I thought it would be nice to show you guys some

we are all about rare wheels, split wheels, doesnt matter how you get low- coils or air(although guys with air get hated on pretty hard haha)

since were on NS a Subaru to start em off

I just sold my evo to get rid of some school debt early- picked up a mk2 jetta coupe and Bagyard bombers- sitting at home-wheels are a secret- anyone at h2o hit me up- ill be the guy in bagged mk2 with a NS penis in the front seat

how the fuck do you steer around even the widest of corners with your camber looking like that? i can understand the cars that are just simply lowered, to a sane level. but those cars that are just totally slammed and basically sitting on the inside sidewall of the tire are just fucking retarded. it looks gay. it performs even worse.

I drove an evo with 3.5 degrees of negative camber daily and had no issues- and your wrong regarding the cornering aspect- allows more tire to come in contact with the surface in hard cornering

I mean hell- our shops time attack car has 5 degrees neg camber

it does however ruin you tread over time- but fuck it- thats the price you pay to play

my friend and me wanted to know. how do you make a car stanced. drop it obviously. but do they take out the wheel wells? or some shit... are they all on air bags so they can drop down that low? i have no clue, just wondering

most of the car posted are on coilover suspension- the rusty bmw on the first page is just about as low as you can get without air

but to get it so you dont rub the tire you can roll your fender or pull them- which is essentially creating more room for the wheel and tire to travel

other thing you can do like removing your coil perches and notching your frame- but the most basic way to get moar lows is to buy a set of coils

that would be camber. basically it just lets you corner harder since when your are really railin on it that tire will end up being flat on the ground after the body/tire rolls that direction. think of the opposite example. an suv or something that has lots of body roll and regular or 0 camber in the tires. when you corner hard the body leans and you will be on the outside edge of the tire and have less grip.

yes, negative camber allows the tires contact patch to be flatter under hard cornering, but like the rest of a cars suspension, too much of it can be a bad thing, and alot of the cars in these pics have wayyyy too much and it actually has a negative effect on handling. its purely for looks, i dont know why that looks good... but yeah that would be the only purpose on the cars that are running a ton of negative camber like that.

it also decreases braking performance and grip under acceleration.

and to add to that especially if you are not running lower profile tires the tire will roll under the rim a bit exaggerating this body roll and will have much less traction.

this is true- a little camber is good- a lotta camber is purely for looks

a ton of people in the mk1 world hate this car- I think it is tits- it was impounded and was pulled over at h2o 6 times

i agree, it is cool to a point, but all this stuff with like "VIP" cars i think just looks stupid. i am all for going low and stuff but when you have to camber out so much it just looks dumb.
