oh and with ski measurements, is it measured from tip to tail the long way or the short way, like underneath or on top?  and what about poles? from top of the handle to the end of the point or what? thanks

Im looking for a new park ski.

5% All Mtn (When Im skiing to the park)

when i tried on a xl rocco lite jacket it came 2-3 inchs from my knee and im 5'9. so the zipper was probably around 33 or 32 inchs for a xl. for xxl im thinking 35 inchs, im not sure on the xxl

Skis are measured by cord length or physical length of the piece of metal or other material that makes up the ski. I'm relatively sure that they just sit the ski down, and measure it without taking the curvature of the tip(s) in mind. It's hard to say, however as sizes between companies differ. I'm not sure as to how poles are measured though, sorry.

The length is supposed to be measured from tip to tail, but many companies have the measurement out by just a little bit. You're right about the poles.

A metal file, Just be very careful. I personally wouldnt do it on new skis unless i was dulling the rockered part of the skis. I would just let nature run its course and let the edges dull naturally.

they're fucking trash.
every single pair i've seen has some sort of stitching tearing out. plus their fabric is nothing compared to competitors products in the same price range.

the stitching is a bit deterring i suppose, but they say they've stepped it up this year. unless youve seen some of the newer stuff from the pros?

i also like the insulation factor, i dont need swass from too many layers, and the bib?

they arent really that bad, i mean the quality might be a little less than the more experienced brands,

but dont you agree that some of the things that were added to first drop are better than others like saga
(not including sagas 3L quality which is why i got one of their jackets)

but for instance the bib, very comfy sit on the legs, if sagging is desired its much easier, removable if undesired
insulation provides ample warmth, so that base layers arent necessary

first of all, i would say that stitching and seams are hands down the most important part of the pants. so really, i shouldn't be arguing about this with you at all.
because: seams suck=pants suck

secondly, first drop isn't insulated you idiot. not last year, not this year. yes they can say they have a "medium weight liner" but that's just a marketing ploy. it's exactly the same if not worse than other companies like Saga and LDC.

thirdly, i must say the bib feature is nice. i have a pair of oakley OTT's and i love that they have the bib. that being said, i don't think it really adds anything to the pants. if you really want to be able to sag your pants 8 inches below you 3 inch cock buy a pair of fucking suspenders for $5.

fourth, don't mention the fit of the outerwear in your argument. all of these companies make outerwear far big enough to fit anyone on this site. to be quite honest i think it's ridiculous for FD to make a jacket that's 42" inches tall. that's completely unnecessary.



as soon as FD proves that they can produce anything (sweatshirts, jackets and pants from last year are all considered huge failures in my book) maybe i would consider purchasing something from them.
but in the meantime i will continue to laugh at all you dumbfucks who buy outerwear from them that is mediocre at best when you could be buying a much better product for basically the same cost.

i will agree with you that most of kangbangs posts are worthless and sometimes annoying
however i think this thread could eliminate SOME of the clutter and i will probably use it in the future.

So i might as well use this even though, its not really a question just a wonder of mine.

Soo i go some alpha 2's (182) and before this i have always skied on regular camber skis( 161 Invaders and the 176 Rossi Scratch BC sprayer the past season). What i am wondering is will their be a huge noticeable difference or will it feel like im sking regular camber skis? Will the early rise help for much at all? yes i have read a lot of reviews but i would like to hear from someone that has rode alphas.

I have looking into the Chronic Cyptonites 2011 or any other LINE ski, and i am just wondering what everyone would recommend for me. And the size they would recommend if they would recommend me a ski. I am really just looking at line skis but if you want to recommend another ski and another brand, go ahead.

Age 17 probs not growing anymore.
Height: 5' 8"
weight: 150 lbs.

I ski mostly park but powder and hauling ass on groomers on some good days.

So Park 60% Powder 30% Normal Groomers etc. 10% or just in between jumps and stuff, you know.

In the parki ski 45% jumps 55% rails. So i want it to be real poppy and buttery but still be light and give me strength on big landings.

I know the afterbangs are like good for what I'm looking for but i hate the graphics and they are to skinny for the type of powder i will be skiing. I could always use my dad's b=powder skis on super deep days tho so dont get me wrongs, i was really liking the blends but they seem fat.

Will be mounted with Look PX12 Jib Wide.

Skis i have skied and liked Chronic 2007, Chronic 2009, and i didn't really like my recent K2 extremes because i couldn't really butter and they were a bit heavy.

i literally just bought a pair of those today. im 17, 150 lbs but im 5'10, i got the 178s.

this is the perfect park ski as well as if you want to hit pow when it happens, perfectttttt. im feeling them right now, they are really poppy, but not sure on the butter. they feel like you could butter them but it wouldnt be super easy.

THEY ARE LIGHT! and theyre one of the strongest line skis, all the team riders use the cryps and theyre meant for big jumps as they have some stiffness underfoot.
this is the ski you want

and i LITERALLY just bought some Look PX12 Jib Wides too lol.

You'll notice it a bit. It's not a huge difference, but they do ski like a shorter ski because of the early rise. It'll probably take a few runs to get used to, but after that you can ski them like anything else. I didn't notice the early rise much myself.
