I agree with the VX supporters. It's the grandfather of all Digicams...
Yeah, it looks crappy and old-tech, but that's part of the charm of it. The whole point of using a VX is to go about something in a yester-year fashion. If you are able to come up with something awesome with a VX, then you should be able to get something awesome out of just about anything HD...
Ultimately, I think the VX can be super fun to shoot with. Brings you back to your roots... It's like shooting polariods or 110 film. That camera just brings back so much 1990's "MTV still plays Music" kinda nostalgia.
yeah, you can hate on the 1:1 transfer ratio, and the 60i and the silver colour and whatever else.. but it's a camera that's still being used by people 18 years after it came out. That's fucking cool no matter what you say... the thing still fetches 1000$ in good condition with a death lens - which is hilarious as fuck.
