Anyone else enjoy good beer.  There's a time and a place for pounding back Natty and PBR for sure but im talkin' goooooood beer.

Craft/micros are where it's at.

If I'm looking to enjoy the taste of my beer, I will always be drinking a craft.

Cheap stuff has its place, but odds are that I am paying the extra few bucks on a 12-pack of quality tasting beer.

(Granted I am 25 and over the notion of getting drunk every time I drink)

Meh, have had better in my personal opinion. I felt a little let down actually considering all the hype I had heard.

One of the best beers I have had to date that fit my personal tastes would be Long Trail Ale's Brewmasters Series Winter White Ale. Straight up perfection. Got a 5 gallon keg of it last year around the holidays. Such a wonderful beer.

craft beers are delicious. I had this amazing beer in Vail, unfortunately i dont remember the name

plus it was really my brothers beer.

see im 17. so basically im stuck pounding shitty beer for a couple years. but i do enjoy the taste of a well made beer.

Dude if you haven't been yet check out the spinnerstown in down towards quakertown, their beer list will make you cry. Also the tap and table in emmaus has a wicked selection but is more of a pricey and swanky type place.

Spinnerstown will fill growlers of anything they have on tap, which happens to include blue point oatmeal stout. If ya need to borrow any let me know I have 8 growlers collecting dust at my house from magic hat.

just a little local beer tip for ya there.


Also I would totally be in on a craft brew cult for sure. I got a home brew kit right now I'm sitting on that I need to fire up.

hell yes, I had a sixer of that toasted lager when I went to the beach for my birthday, that shit was delicious.

Also had the rastafar-rye last time I went to the local beer snob restaurant. I'm liking all the blue point stuff so far, gonna go pick up a growler of the oatmeal stout soon, but they hit us for 20 bucks a growler of it down here. Which is kind of a steap six pack but I think it's worth it.

good to know about the growlers.  thanks.  never heard of spinnerstown i'll have to look into it.

The Craft Ale House down in the limerick/royersford area is supposed to be incredible.  Something like 100 bottles in house and this is their draft list right now

Yeah it's the Spinnerstown inn, if your on 663 from pennsburg toward q-town it's a left at the light before the turnpike where it splits to two lanes. They've got a book that is the beer list it's incredible. Not too pricey either.

I've never heard of that one in limerick, I'll check it out as I've gone up that way to the sly fox brewery before and wasn't really impressed.

Yeah sly fox has a few good brews but the restaurant kinda blows.  My buddy and his sister work there so most of the time my tab ends up $0 with a $25 tip.  Pretty good deal if you ask me haha

Best beer I've ever had, Firestone Walker Parabola. Holy shit.

Lagunitas Wilco Tango Foxtrot was pretty good.

So is their Hop Stoopid.

Another good one was Deschutes Brewery Abyss.

I had some really really good ale back east in Belfast ME, I think it was like Marina Brewery or some shit, but it was amazing.

Russian River Brewing Company makes some damn good stuff.

Sierra Nevada Summerfest is pretty alright.

Whenever I can get someone to grab me some Sierra Nevada Bigfoot I snatch it up.

Sierra Nevada Stout is meh, I know a lot of people who like it, but I'm not a big fan.

Just about everything made by Bear Republic Brewing Co. is amazing. Racer 5 and Racer X are like, oh my holy shitballs. Red Rocket is pretty nice too.

I have proposed an idea to the Travel Channel recently about going around the country (and later the world) and trying all the awesome craft brews... giving people insight into how different beers are made, and what makes a certain beer taste a certain way, and not only that, but showing a little debauchery along the way, and warning people all about drunk driving and effects of alcohol. I know the Idea has been approached before, but the way I have written it up, I see it as a little more unique than anything they've done before.

Pretty much a show that I think anyone in this thread would watch for sure. I hope they continue talking to me about the idea.

Their amber lager (Old Scratch) is the tits, one of my most cherished beers.
