IPod help: new computer

Alright, whoever can link me or give me some help and advice gets +k.

I got a laptop today, and I'm attempting to sync my 4000+ songs, videos, and all from my iPod Touch to the newly downloaded and empty iTunes library. After plugging it in, all it does is sync it, which does nothing, and charge.

I've spent quite a decent amount of time searching Apple forums, support pages, FAQ, but no one seems to be this stupid so there are no topics on it. I've done it before a number of times, and even helped people do it, but I don't know why I can't do it. This is my last resort before I go insane.

It told me to configure my ipod to manual, which I did, but it still didn't recognize my ipod. Sent me here for help- dead end.

Hmm..maybe the program has updated since I have used it.

for windows - make it so all hidden folders and files on your computer are visible. plug in ipod. go to my computer. double click ipod. go into ipod control. go into music. drag all folders into folder on your desktop. the drag those into itunes music folder. then drag them into itunes

i just did the same thing, the hidden files thing takes forever because it wont let you drop in folders

all the other programs are trials

although, the program i gave you is for mac... you might want to specify what kind of computer you have

Bumping cause it's better than making a new thread.

Bought a used iPod here on B/S/T, and I want to put the music from the iPod onto iTunes. The working program that I used when I made this thread is now a dead end link, so who knows where it went. I've looked around for a while online but then I remembered this thread, which ended up not helping.


I need to add the music from the iPod into my library- whether it takes it off of the iPod or not- and then put ALL of the music, mine and the iPod's back onto the iPod.

i think it limits at 1000, but you can do multiple trials, or like close and re open and do the next 1000. or find a cracked version
