Creatine

So I'm a pretty competitive skier, and my friends who are in other sports are raving about Creatine.  I'm considering starting to use it, but I don't know for sure. It seems like it could be potentially harmful to your body in the long run. Suggestions?

different strokes for different folks. as long as you are giving the individual muscle groups the required resting periods in between sessions, there's no harm in it....i.e. don't work out chest/tris 2 days in a row, etc.

not as much as sitting at a desk for 8-10 hours a day or sitting on your ass and doing nothing. it's nice to still have a ripped fucking 6 pack in your late 20s when most other guys have beer guts...

creatine phosphate 'lends' a phosphorous molecule to adenosineDIphosphate (ADP) so that it becomes ATP (adenosineTRIphosphate) and can be used again to release the stored energy in the third phosphate bond.

As for the most effective training split i would have to say: workout1: upperbody - push

workout2 lower body , workout3: upperbody - pull,  workout 4: lower body.

and stick to the basic compound movements for the most part.

as I said, you will rarely see conclusive yes or no answers on creatine.

cobra commander is right in post on diet. 100% accurate.

I disagree about creatine tho, it straight up does make you stronger. is that worth it to you personally? we cant answer that. I use it periodically with great results.

also, if you are just starting to work out, you will not know yet what you are capable of and what you arent or if creatine is even doing anything for you. be better to have a baseline to compare to.
a safer bet would be to work out regularly and eat clean. you cannot go wrong with that.
