Most of you know I'm a tv news reporter - and my assignment today made me cringe.
Turns out, someone in a small town outside of the city I live in, went to the corner store to buy a lotto ticket. They asked for $7.00 worth, but the cashier typed in $27.00 instead. The customer asked them to void the sale, and just give the $7.00 ticket. One of the tickets in the voided one, wound up being a
$30 MILLION dollar winner. The Lottery Corporation knew this because the machine that randomly selects the numbers, revealed the winning numbers had been selected, but thrown back in the void.
For the guy or girl who sees this on the news tonight, and realizes they're that person who asked the cashier to void the sale, well....lets just hope they don't have a gun.
