Is it just me or does everyone else regret a lot. Like for example, watching edits of kids going huge this season and not pushing yourself enough this winter. Or just regrets in life overall. They give you a pretty crappy feeling and I don't really know how to deal with them well. So some advice and stories would be sweet.
I disagree 100% i think that you should push yourself until you can not be pushed anymore in whatever sport/job/etc that you are doing. If you dont it just seems like a waste of time. But thats just me.
for some reason, throughout my 18 years of living with my parents, i always expected things to come to me. once i hit college, i realized theres no one there to hold your hand and show you what to do next. if you have a goal or want to do something. do it. life is short, no ones going to stand there and tell you to do it. you might as well take chances in life because life is really short. i would rather look back on my failures/successes rather than look back on all the opportunities i didn't take.
Couldn't agree more. After completing a winter of snowboarding for the first time in 2 years without an injury, I am glad I didn't get hurt. I admit I did puss out on a lot of stuff that made my friends say wtf but I don't care. Believe it or not life doesn't have to revolve around skiing. I know in the back of every young skiers head is the desire to go pro. Once you can see yourself in the future without being pro at skiing you will enjoy it 2x more.
I think there should be a balance between the two. If I pushed 100% all the time, A) I would be tired as hell and B) I would get hurt opening day of each season trying to dub cork of the first jump I found. Yeah it is good to push it, but within reason and some days, its best to just relax and cruise through the park boostin straight airs and doin goofy shit. Just my opinion though.
Jah Bless! = Jobless.... bummer.
"and i did one of those live webcam sex things....boy is that a fucking rip off!!! worst jackoff investment ever!"
Some good advice, I don't really regret not going big in skiing for the reasons you guys said already. But going into my junior year of school I regret not pushing myself harder in school and not worrying about my future and just goofing off in school. Stuff like that too.
dude if your in highschool. please fuck around. if you can fuck around and pull of good grades then fuck around. you don't have many worries during highschool. your parennts are still paying for your shit. life is pretty good so live it up before you gotta put a roof over your own head. i would enjoy those four years as best you can. i wish i didn't worry about school as much when i was in high school. high school is a pretty big joke once i look back on it
Yeah, I pretty much goof around and shit and pull off decent grades. But I just want to get into a good college. That's all high school is, then from college that's where you have to work your ass off to get a solid career. It took me a while to understand that. I don't know, guess i'm just having a bad, depressed day. Sorry guys.
yup but you make the best of the situation. just because you couldn't get into harvard and instead go to CU doesn't mean you can't be the next Bill Gates. You get out of your college career what you put in. Thats true for all of life
In all honesty i feel like that every year but then again i look back and see what i did and just think wow i did kind of push my self.. toward the end of the season i pushed my self to get hurt and that was not smart so yeah i think i know my stop point now i think.. just push yourself to where you are conformable.

Regrets are what happen when you're not able to forgive yourself for a perceived mistake. Forgive yourself, regret goes away. Things happen, don't judge yourself and don't let the past hurt you now. Live in the moment.
