First dmb has nothing to do with the jam community. Second Phish kills it live, without ever seeing them you can't make a real legit opinion. Jerry did more for music than the shit bands every one listens to these days combined.

The only thing i absoltely hate about dave matthews is that all the kids from my school are like, dude you dont even need a ticket, we prolly wont even go in we will just get fucked up in the parking lot and shit braaahhhhhh. i respect his music but thinks its repetitive. Phish is in no way shape or form a jam band

The members of his band are all pretty talented. Carter beauford is up there on my list of drummers. I couldn't believe how shitty the scene was when I went to spac for dave a few years ago. A binch of drunken frat boys/pricks.  People puking all over and passing out at like 2 in the afternoon. When you go into the venue, still people puking and passing out an our  or so before dave even came on. It was  just lame in genera. Luckily I still smoked then so I had a few headie blunts with me, dave show without marijuana is death.

the crowd does tend to be obnoxious.

idk how spac is set up but were you on the lawn? because that tends to be 100 times worse than real seats.

I like the lawn at spac,  I always end up getting inside. But then I got back out on the lawn and roam around.  Spac has an awesome lawn. The view is a little bit shitty but there's a lot of space and pathways to walk around. Not your usual lawn into a wall and the end.

If I had the loot to waste I'd go and party with some of my friends, but I'm using that for other shows. I already have my phish tickets for both nights, and thats a legit party. Mad cool people everywhere.

word. i didnt mean the lawn itself is bad. i just meant that tends to be where the majority of the frat guys who go to get hammered and not enjoy the music are.


alpines lawn is nice-ish too, but its been getting progressively worse in terms of me being surrounded by dudes who are hammered and the only song theyve ever heard is crash.

Word I hear you. I've never been to alpine. I'm def going to make it sometime. Spac, alpine, red rocks, the gorge, and some others are all up there. Maybe I'll catch a full tour sometime and get to hit them all.
