Bike would probly be a 600cc CBR (-95, pc31) and I've been wanting a big bike forever, although I never even had a moped before (but I drive motorcross every now and then).
Skydiving course would be much cheaper, but I'd have to buy the equipment after the course (like +2000$/€) and in the long run I can get more money back from the bike IF I'm not interested in it.
I've always been an adrenaline junky and I love bungee jumping (done it only twice)
So which one. If you've done either of 'em tell me why I should pick that one. Why?
And if you have a better idea, shoot me with it (I have about 3000$ just for spendind)
Just got new skiing equipment so no need for any of that.
Yea I know that :D And the funny thing here is that its the cheaper choice here :D Its only 20e (~30$) per jump.
But the thing I'm afraid is that it wont be as cool as I've thought. Some say its better than sex and some have just meh'd to it after the course. But I dont think that would happen to me....Impossible to say.
I'd have like 6-8 months of driving and probly like 4 months of jumping. jumping would be great way to get away from routines and just do something different. BUT it would be only (max)3 time a week. Normally 1-4 times a month (studies etc.)
If i got a bike I would be able to go driving whenever I want and wherever I want. Only problem to that is the expenses: gas, insurance, maintenance etc.
I would do a bike. As soon as I can afford it I'm going to be all over that. I just imagine that having the freedom to go for a ride all by myself flying down the highway will just be so therapeutic and fun
"I got so many tall tees that I dont know how much I pay for them cuz I dont give a fuckkkk"
"i personally like skull fucking hoes but that's my .02"
"Built by women? If the boards are sandwich construction it kinda makes sense."
like you said, you will get a lot more money back from a bike and it will last you longer because 30 dollars a jump, 3 times a week, adds up to a lot of money every year. I say go with a bike and go where you gonna go anywyas but have fun going there.
I wish I could say I've beaten the fuck out of a crackhead.-Black_Bandanna
I posted the same quiestion to my local skydiving clubs forum and they said to go and try a tadnem jump once and judging then, which Im doing as soon as my salary drops in.
Insurances here in finland are super expensive (700e/y = 1000 usd) and overall bike prices are a bit higher than elsewhere. I thought of importing a bike from England 'cause courses are pretty low right now (1£=1.13e) but I'd have to pay this goddamn ''import tax'' which is fucked up: its about 25% of the price the bike would cost in Finland...and here it costs about double :S
Right now the skydiving sounds a bit better, cause of the cheapness (here its about 20e/jump) and the course is only 1K -ish euros. But I havent made up my mind yet so anything is still possible.
sky diving, its safer. also you won't have to deal with having to store your bike, worry about it getting jacked, or crashing it causing a lot of money real quick.
youre jesus and everything you say is pure gold
if skierman dosent know him then he cant be that famous
i was gonna see it, but then skiierman said he wasn't
skiierman is my idol... hes so redbull
keep in mind that although it may only be 20euros a jump, you need to buy/rent equipment. You need a jumpsuit (optional) a main chute, a reserve, and you need to pay to have the main chute packed every jump you make. Parachutes are not cheap...
damn though i wish i had the money to jump frequently.
I dont have to buy the equipment in the first 30 jumps, thats the amount of jumps needed for the ''jump pass'' (dunno the proper word for that) I think it would still be cheaper than bike: I need the lisence (700e) insurance (another 700), a bike (2500e) plus the gas (~30e/tank, a tank goes about 200-500km), maintenance (lets say about 400e -ish for the rest season) I dont have to worry about storing it, cause we live in our own house at countryside.
I asked about the maintenance from the skydiver club -forum and they said its about 100-200e/y max. but the chute is pretty expensive (about 2500e, price of a bike)
Its an early summer here so lots of bikes moving around. I'd like to do something different, although the bike is still pretty attractive to me. The bike would be more manly than skydiving :D
