Am i a junior or a senior?

so right now, I'm a junior in high school. BUT, once the academic year is over, does one remain a junior until the first day of senior year, or is one free to claim seniority as soon as junior year is over?

the consensus seems to be that, once the junior academic year is over, one can claim seniority, but is one really a senior just because junior year is over?

burning question.

well for girls i prefer if you call yourself a senior right after finishing junior because it really helps to put my mind at ease.

I thought about this in 4th grade.  I came to the conclusion then, that during the summer, I was in 4.5th grade.

tell people that you're "going into senior year" then you dont have to explain, and it sounds like your a senior

hears a mind blower.... in college you are based on unites

i have been in College now for 3 complete years. So by the stranded scale i am a full senior.
BUT!.. i am 1 credit hour short of senior status in the eyes of my college.

So wtf do i say?

Its kinda like... yeah; i am a junior but i just didn't go to one of my finals last year and thats why i am not a sr.

Even more confusing is if you're graduating early. I'm graduating next year, which normally would be my junior year. So am I graduating as a junior, or can I pass as a senior because I'm graduating? And if I can, does that make this year, which is by classical definition my sophomore year, my junior year?

high school is pretty much a guarantee to be out in 4 years so the freshman-senior titles work. in college it's easier to just say what you are based on the number of years you've been in. like freshman, sophomore, 3rd year, 4th year, 5th year, 6th year, 7th year, and so on..
