Interesting article, yes, but the new things that one could do for filming action sports might be way neater than whatever Hollywood might come up with. Think about the new angles, the new techniques, and the possibilities if used properly in an edit.

One of the other nice things about skiing film right now is that the Am scene is hot on the heels of the pro guys. There are still people putting out dope edits without the high budget/high tech stuff. That won't change with this because, at least for the forseeable future, they ams won't be anywhere near able to afford this equipment.

I agree and disagree. I don't really know enough about it to form an opinion. Yes, the 3d movies and shows I have seen were less than amazing. When sound was added to movies people were in an uproar. Im excited to see what happens. Maybe it will die off, maybe it wont.
