Alright so for anyone who doesn't know, Eminem & Jay-Z are teaming up for two epic events.

September 2nd event:

I have never really been to a legit concert before, and I don't have a lot of knowledge. I'm assuming these two events will have roughly the same ticket prices.

Can anyone perhaps give me an idea on how much we may be looking at for ticket prices here? For all areas (front row, middle, last row, etc.)

Also, any idea on how fast these tickets might sell out?

Keeping a couple things in mind too - these are Eminem's first real concerts in like 5 years i think? also, Jay-Z was in very high demand for his blueprint 3 tour, along with selling out everywhere.

Don't go. It will probably be upwards of 100 dollars for stadium seating.

Basing from what a similar concert would be in Canada,
it will sell out reasonably fast, probably by July
tickets will no doubt be from 40-60 dollars plus taxes/surcharges etc depending where you are.
they will be very similar pricing

advice: dont waste huge amounts of money to see two washed up, past their prime, never that great to begin with rappers, and instead hit up some legit clubs and see something up close and and fresh. Im sorry, just my opinion, but big shows like that typically aint that great unless you pay absurd amounts of $$ to get close. a tight little venue where everyone is packed in and going nuts is always like 10X more fun.

I mean, Iron Maiden is topping out at 85 for the premium tickets at Madison Square Gardens. No way in hell will Eminem come close to that

i saw jay z at the uniersity of illinois this year and it was $ 25 for second row seating i was like 10 feet away from the backstage area... it was awesome and really crazy i would deff recommend going but it might have been a lot cheaper cuz it was on a college campus. but jay z and eminem would be sick

Agrees completely. But if you don't go to a lot of shows there's nothing wrong with splurging a little to see something you like.

Alright, I'm not entirely sure how NY prices compare to LA prices, but I assume they can't be too different since we are the 2 biggest cities.

Anyway, I recently purchased MUSE tickets for $50 for stadium seating. My seats aren't great and I purchased them 5 minutes or so after they were released.


Here is the deal, events like these can sell out in minutes. Reason being is that ticket scalpers will often buy up all the tickets and sell them on ebay or craigslist at outrageous prices.


I recommend doing this: Purchase as many tickets as you can. Keep the ones you need and then try to sell the others a week after it sells out on ebay/craigslist for profit. If you can not sell them, offer them up at list price to your friends.

4 days before concert, check Stubhub.com for better tickets at list price. If you can find them, post your tickets on craigslist for list price.

KROQs almost acoustic christmas 2 years ago was $45. Muse, Jimmy Eat World, Modest Mouse, the Shins, and the Killers were playing. I tried to get tickets but it sold out too fast. They were going for $150 on ebay.

2 days before the show I checked stubhub and found tickets for $11 a piece cause so many scalpers were selling them too high that they couldnt sell them at all and became desperate.

wow how are tickets so cheap in NY and LA? in colorado Jay Z tickets started at 60 for 3rd level seats, anything decent was around a hundred, and floor seats were over 2 for the most part.
Iron Maiden tickets are 70 bucks a pop for an amphitheater

Wow.


I know when classic rock bands play they cost more. I think my parents paid $125 for Prince....

But usually in big cities the good seats sell out in presale so the only tickets left are under $80 or so cause charging anything more means they could lose profit.

Id expect these to be in the $65 - $80 range for unfavorable seats. If they have lawn tickets... $50. But something tells me NY doesn't have lawn seats...

I thought tickets were more expensive than this.. I go to smaller shows but when I saw the Stones it was like $200 for fucking nosebleeds..

Maybe concerts are cheaper in LA... I could possibly see that since on any given night I have like 20 to choose from.

I thought $50 for Muse was pushing it... but my friends desperately wants to go and she hasn't seen them yet. First time I saw them it only cost me $11.


charging $200 doesn't seem fair for any concert. You are totally limiting your fanbase when you do that and saying, "we are for the wealthy." Sucks.

the billy joel elton john co-headliner in Denver had 300-400 dollar floor tickets, nosebleeds were over a hundred. mid sized venues sell tickets to pop-punk shows for around 30-40 dollars now. small venues charge between 15 and 30 here as well. it is rare to find a show under 10 dollars unless it is a 21+ venue.

Don't go, its a rap concert, you will obviously get stabbed for being white.

Also I bet that show is expensive as fuck. Right now I'm trying to convince myself to shell out $40 to see Slightly Stoopid with Cypress Hill.

Tickets for shows where I live in Canada start at 100 bucks...and that's for shitty b-list bands.
But - I remember when The Police did their reunion tour those tickets started at 300 bucks....in Vancouver - but thats the police - not eminem.

No because Eminem has never really stopped touring. The reason those other guys are so expensive is because they haven't toured in years. The actively touring acts I see are usually from 15-75 dollars depending on the group. I would honestly never pay over $75 for a single show, but some people will I suppose...

Dude forget all the haters Jay-Z and Eminem are both sick. I dont love either of their music but anything is fun live. As to price i dont think its possible to really guess it could be a 150 could be 20.
