BroBomb requests a "share on NS" widget.

We've got the same little button that's at the bottom of every article for sharing on 10 different social media sites that nobody uses, but why not have a "share on NS" button for blogs?
There'd be some logistical issues, because you wouldn't want the shared stuff clogging up the SG forum, but perhaps you could go all Facebook on 'em and have a section on the front page where you could see the links that your friends have shared. I think that would be the most valuable way for all involved.
Now obviously this might not seem like a great idea, because NS puts out their own content. And there is some damn good stuff if I do say so myself, but I think most people utilize NS like a niche social media site.

Where would you want to see stuff actually shared? Show up as a thread or special section.

We've had a ton of bloggers integrating their blogs with our through RSS feeds and seems to work great getting their content onto the blogs on the front page

Yeah the RSS feed works, but it doesn't feed traffic back to the linked site so you're going to get mostly personal skier blogs, twitter feeds, and company blogspots. I realize there aren't a ton of independent (not a skier, not a company) ski blogs out there. So maybe this idea's time hasn't come yet.
However, in the not too distant future, I could see it being valuable for all parties involved. NS would establish itself as the source for filtered content of interest, and the linked sites would get traffic.

As far as logistics. I think the best thing you could do is setup a portion of the homepage entitled something like "Your Friends Like:" Then setup the linking process something like facebook's (a link, a blurb, and a thumbnail pulled from the linked page).
You could set it up so you could input a link directly (rather than clicking the button), and then people could "like" NS articles, videos, and pics too. If nothing else, it would make the NS friend system a little more interactive.
