I don't watch gold that often, but I flipped it on today during commercials and decided to keep watching it. This kid rory mcilroy was making ridiculous shots the whole 18. He finished 15 under with 10 under on the day. And I think he set a course record. Then he hit like a 40 foot put on the last whole just to finish in style.

Ya he did over on Japan, the kids 16!

Rory did really well considering he got -16 over the weekend. 352 yard drive on one of the back nine holes. So good! Not to mention number thirteen in the world ranking and hes just turning 21 in a couple days.

Yea, I saw the last few of holes of that tourney, he was on another level. Then despite playing it safe and going for the middle of the green on 18, he still sinks like a 45 ft put! What is crazy is he is only 20 (21 in 2 days) and he beat the previous course record by 2 shots. Kid has skills.

yeah well i was there (the course is 5 minutes from my house /claim) and it was awesome. i didn't really follow him much today but on friday i followed his group for his back 9 and he was 2 above the cut line with 3 to play. He eagled his 16th hole to make the cut right on the number which is pretty cool considering he won the whole thing.

the kid has his stuff together, i mean granted he shot a 72 on day 1 but he ended with a 62, thats just crazy

Rory is sick. He is going to win a lot more i feel. He has the game to be great, just needed to get that first one out of the way. can't wait to see him play at St. Andrews in the British.

Shooting a 58 is damn impressive for anyone but it was on a 6,500 yard course. Not really that impressive seeing that most PGA courses are 7,400 yards and probably a lot tougher. Take the course Quail Hollow is played on. Much tougher I would assume. A 6,500 yard course for touring pros is like a par 3 course for ams. Still would have been awesome to see him shoot 58.
