Screamin Seaman crashes

I really want to try a screamin seaman but i really really dont want to end up getting my legs stuck in that position for when I land. I dont know if im being overly scared though, how bad is it if you land with your legs crossed leg that? ive been thinking that ill blow out my knees and break my legs for sure if i land like that, or else definately do something pretty nasty to my legs. Has anybody ever not managed to get their legs back around? how bad is it?

My friend landed off a rail in screamin seamen position and just rode away like 20ft and washed out.

But I wouldn't try it off some like 50 foot booter for your first time maybe a step over or something with low impact.

I wouldn't worry about it, just try it off like a nice floaty 25 footer first.  If your gonna have to bail just wash out nice and smooth

if you are stuck in the position bail dont try to land. if you land the impact could screw your knees

lolz i saw a girl try a backflip screamin seamen and she over shot and landed with her legs stll crossed. she like dislocated them both and broke her hip and got totally fucked up. just thought u should know

I've landed crossed when I was learnin them and you just wash out.  Man up and do them, theyre really fun.

i guess probably pretty shitty. i tried to nollie in a couple inches of fresh on top of groomed and ended up falling on my face and landing in the position. as long as youre flexible (like me) and you dont try to fight it a bunch your legs should survive. as long as they stay close together and pointing straight downhill

Well, I would guess that if your bindings are set correctly nothing will happen and you will eject.

I've landed in screamin position by accident a few times on "large" park jumps and it isn't nearly as bad as you are picturing. Generally you land perfectly in control and have to bail to your hip to avoid trying to unwrap your legs while hauling ass down the landing.

the only thing that will happen is that you loose your one ski (the one that hits the ground first probably) nothing dangerous at all

Ive landed switch in the screamin position of a small ish jump and it was fine. Not as bad as you might think.

i did my first screamin on the biggest jump on the mountain in the big park. i felt that i could have more confidence knowing that i have more air time and therefore more tries if i don't get them out the first time. ended up becoming obsessed and didn't do another trick all year

dude its mellow, just ride out with one ski, just make sure ur ski pops off. ive done it like that, then u just fall over.

I've landed with them crossed twice. The first was about 30 ft. The second time I did it was last year at Park City. It was on the last jump in King's Crown, about 50ft. Surprisingly neither of them hurt. You just wash out to one side and a ski or two pops off. They're really easy.  Just do it, Nike.
