2004 VW Golf R32

I am about to purchase a used '04 R32.. Great condition, inside and out. It has some nice add-on's; short shifter, cold air intake, etc.

Fairly cheap, but the guy is just looking for someone to take care of it.

What do the 15 year olds of NS think?

great car. hot styling, BEST exhaust note. drool-worthy konigs.

BUT....heavy, and as a result not as quick by today's standards.

you're also probably paying 5k$ above KBB values for a car with 60K+ miles on it.
perceived values on these things are a bitch.

i was in the market for a while too. might still pursue one in the near future.

My best friend had one, it was a fucking amazing car. I would absolutely get one if I had the money, great choice. Just make sure the guy who you're buying it off of has been taking real good care of it.

i would be getting it pretty cheap. definitely not over KBB values and there are only 80,000 miles on it.

for shure a sweet find. can't wait.

if i end up getting it, i will post pictures for days.

yeah, those miles are fairly high. prices on those are usually pretty reasonable (crazy people asking 24$K for 25k miles...pff)

I'd probably throw some coils on it (PSS-9's are really good price/performance). cures the luxury gt syndrome.
and do yourself a favor and delete the exhaust flapper (google "flapper mod") super easy.

just make sure to get it checked out third party. that many miles and things start to go pretty quickly.

change the haldex when you get it- my best friend got one yesterday- traded in his mk4 - 60k miles- totally stock- got it for 15 even from a dealer- fun cars- not stupid fast but quick- and the vr is quite possibly the best exhaust note this side of 30 grand

i am incredibly jealous of anyone with an r32. the new ones are not nearly as cool, (at least not to me) as they cant be had with a proper manual, plus the 4th gen body styling is the best since the original. ive wanted one from the second i knew what one was. however, i dont have that kinda money. Had an 01 Gti for a while, can only imagine how good it would be in AWD.

What are you getting though if not that?

Way sweet car. only reason I'd take a subaru over it is because I hate the flappy paddle gearbox, and the completely aweful part availability on them.

wrong model year- your thinking mk5 r32- this is a mk4- oh and btw- if thats te car there is o way in hell that is a legt deal- 6 grand for an r- maybe one with a rebilt title and 150,000 miles

the seller had a good story.. being deployed soon and needs to get it out of the garage. but it is from wisconsin and they were trying to say that they would pay for shipping charges.

DO NOT BUY IT! by bro was so close to buying an yamaha r1 around a year ago at a normal price, the guy was "being deployed and needed it gone" all that bullshit. it was a complete scam. he found the same picture used by another legit seller on ebay. and at the very least, get his phone number and call it to see if its real/ if its him. cause a lot of times they will give you a random number, or just one that doesnt exist. so in other words, fuck that scammer, look elsewhere.
