Easy way to record music to computer.

I have a beat I made through Fruity Loops and a guitar part that goes with it. What is the best way to record and put them together?

I was thinking of using my computer mic to record. But I don't know what program to put the two together.

Personally I like audacity. It is free and simple to use. Granted, I don't mix or record much but it seems like the simplest program to loop, mix and record
