I have to make a poll for my integration project on post-traumatic epilepsy due to a severe head injury for people between 18 and 20 y/o.
1-Do you know what's post-traumatic epilepsy?
2-Have you already got a concussion?
3-Do you practice any activities that could cause head injuries?
-which ones:
4- should people be more aware of concussion consequences?

1. i dont really know, but im guessing when you develop epilepsy (like having random fits / spazms??) after a trauma (or after a concussion?)? Ive never heard of the term though, no.

2. yes, i've hit my head and blacked out twice

3. one from skiing (was wearing a helmet) and one from falling from a tree

4. maybe, if there are bad consequences, although i think most people know that wearing a helmet is better than not wearing a helmet. tell me wtf is post traumatic epilepsy? am i gonna get epilepsy now? how common is it? what is it?

I did my paper in french so I can't just copypaste it, but basicly it's when after a concussion (usually before two weeks) you do some epilepsy crisis. It's usually cause by very severe head trauma ( ie: during the vietnam war). It also generally affects people over 35 ( I was forced to study it on 18-20 years old). I'll have to do an abstact on it ( summary in english ) later this week-end, i'll post it if you're interested.

2-Have you already got a concussion? yes i was out for 5 mins
3-Do you practice any activities that could cause head injuries? yes
-which ones: freeskiing, soccer, inline skating, very rare but basketball.
4- should people be more aware of concussion consequences? yes, when i got mine i wasnt sure if i had one so i went home didnt tell my rents and went right to bed then went skiing the next day even though i still had a headache. i was a retard i will never let a concussion go untreated ever again.

I suffered from post concussive symptoms for over a year, look into second impact syndrome shit will make you look at life different especially after having a few severe concussions.
