ok so i know this should be in media and arts but i made a thread there and no one helped me so im trying here. i recently got a new imac and im trying to get all of my AVCHD (.mts) footage off my old computer into Final cut on my new computer.
i converted all the footage to h.264
mp4 through handbrake and then converted that to .mov using quicktime
but FCP 7 says error whenever i try to import the files. I have tried
using quicktime with the h.264 compression and the Apple ProRes 422 (the
format FCP converts my files into when i log and transfer off my
camera) in both high quality and regular but still no luck.
Any ideas??
