Still don't know what I want to do... I have a stock 94' 4runner now, initially i was planning on doing a LC lift... Landcruiser coils( raise it about 3"), some HD shocks, 1.5" bj spacers up front and a nice set of 33x12.5's on 16 inch black rims. My other option is to ditch the 3.slooow and upgrade to a truck, since hauling a trailer around for my dirtbike is a pain in the ass. I'm keeping my eyes out for a 01-04 Taco, but that would be a pretty big blow to the bank account
Well, we went on some wheeling trips this summer but not as many as I would have liked. It's been a crazy busy summer.
Bought a 1985 BJ70 (diesel LandCruiser imported from Langley, BC) that pretty much needs a whole new frame and exhaust (you would not believe the rust on this baby). That's our main project truck for the winter... We're just going to use steel plates and start welding a new frame one section at a time. After that, we'll get new leaf springs and maybe do a 4" lift and then put some 31s or 33s on her.
We're also looking to buy another 3B motor (diesel) to swap into Red Truck (1985 pickup with a 22R) because her motor and tranny are pretty much toast. We're sold on Toyota diesel motors, with the exception of the 2L. Anyway, if we can find one, we're going to convert Red to a diesel. Might also buy this '81 with a rebuilt engine that I've been looking at. She has very little rust and only 69K on the rebuild, so that's pretty exciting. We have so many project trucks, it's ridiculous.
Hahahah pretty much already have one. I've been collecting parts from my friends' Toyotas that they want to get rid of and either turning them into art projects or just keeping them in case we need them. Changed a wheel bearing on Brown Truck last week! If you'd like to donate your T-100 to our salvage yard, I'll write you a receipt for a tax deduction. :)
