The Perfect Burn
Nothing is better than having an even circular burn while enjoying a nice cigar. So post up the tips that you use.
I'm not an expert with smoking, but I was told to light without puffing on the cigar, like you could with a pipe or a cigarette, but just run the lighter across the end until the sides are light up evenly and then get the middle going. Also leaving the cherry on for as long as possible. And rotation is also key. The bottom of the cigar burns the quickest because the oxygen is not being displaced by the smoke like it does on other sides of the cigar.
Just do it, what's the worse that can happen?
Huh. I never thought about rotating it. Could be very usefull. Thanks.
About half way through your first drag you realize, Ben was right, Dont ever smoke Yondel's weed.
RIP Justin. I hope there is tons of cliffs and bottomless snow up there.
I divide the cigar tip into 4 even sections. For each section ill light it and take a draw that fills my mouth. Ill then rotate and continue it for the three other sections. This, at least for me, gives me a pretty even burn. Although I'm guessing it can vary from person to person.

Generally how I light depends on what I'm lighting with. If I've got my torch lighter I'll usually char the tip around the outside and then the middle until it gets a nice glow, blow on it a few times to make sure it's lit, and then puff on it. With my Zippo, I char the outside, making sure to rotate and then puff while I get the middle going. Matches I end up puffing while rotating the cigar just because I've got a limited amount of time and the wind makes it a bit harder to light. My personal favorite however is when the cigar comes with a piece of cedar around it, because you can light it off of that and enhance the flavor. When I'm using the cedar I usually char the end a tiny bit with a torch first and then light it fully off the cedar while puffing.
