Red Bull is hosting the 1976 games at Copper Mtn CO this Saturday. I'm hoping another skier or two will be interested in joining a team of four. It's all about straight skis and 70's steeze.
"The Red Bull 1976 Games Finals are headed to Copper Mountain, CO. Teams sporting vintage gear will compete in two events, “Snowbladecross” and “Old School Air.” Teams will be judged the Red Bull way: event performance, creativity, and overall 70’s style. Prizes will also be awarded for best costume and team mojo. So grow (or stick on) those mustaches, squeeze into your one-piece and get ready to party like it’s 1976.
So what inspired this wackiness? More than 30 years ago, Denver was awarded the 1976 Winter Olympics. Then, a coalition of activists and politicians campaigned against it and the games moved Innsbruck, Austria, instead. Well, it’s time the year 1976 had its day state-side!"
Details:
It's free.
Must have straight skis and must borrow some snow blades from that one friend you skied with once, lol.
