Gnarlyest crash of your season?

Mine was on Saturday skiing with K_M, Micah and TJ from the sports creel.

so here we are skiing the rock chutes i come hauling down into some wacky variable snow one of my skis ejects there then i proceed to mob right into a tree with my leg thus causing my other ski to eject and javelining about 40 feet down the hill to sticking out of the snow and i end up wrapped around the only tree within 100 feet and i am surprised that my acl / leg is not broken.

I legit dislocated my shoulder on a side booter lol. Jumped up onto this little cliff, jumped off, landed in mini bombhole, dragged shoulder and out it popped. Most retarded injury every, but its a good story fo sho lol.

simple 180 on flat and caught an edge and twisted my shoulder all up. Couldnt feel my arm for liek 10 minutes and now whenever i cross my arms i get this pain deep in my shoulder joint. wierd.

also overshot a simple jump cuz i popped too much and hurt my heel. could barely walk for a few days.

No fancy trick injuries sorry

overshot a 45 foot jump by about 20 feet.  somehow hit my head hard i don't remember anything from between hitting the jump to being in the hospital about 5 hours later.  i got a second grade concussion

so far this season since it still has about a month left was on sunday. i went off  a 20 to 30 foot cliff and the snow was really shitty and i landed really far forward it through me forward. i did about 4 flips when i finally stoped my skis and poles were all over the place and it even riped off my backpack and my jacket was overtop of my head.

Kinda same with me. Dropped down a chute onto a 20 foot cliff then landed a bit forward into deep pow,causing me to flip multiple times and heard every vertebrae crack. Only one ski ejected, and the end result was lower back pain for a week after.

Also early in the season I decided to hit up a corrugated pipe...bad idea. Skis just grinded to a halt and all my forward momentum threw me face forward into the pipe. Chipped a tooth and probably had a minor concussion.

did a big late one on the 75 footer stomped it and rode away switch for the entire landing but when i went to switch up at the bottom of the tranny i hit a patch of rough shit that a groomer kicked up and slammed directly into my shoulder. sub-lux dislocated it, and i hit my head pretty hard.

and in the pre season i fell on a turf setup and landed on my back and i still have pain in the second vertabrae down from the base of my neck. might have to get it checked out because its been probably 7 months since it happened.

broken cheekbone/eye socket overshooting jump at hood this past summer

broken shoulder overshooting jump at squaw in february (didn't fall, per se, but it still wrecked the end of my season)

hooked tip on a little backflip.... concussion, seizure, broken nose, 5 stitches on the bridge of my nose, 3 stitches inside my nostril, about 20 stitches on my lip, pulled my bottom lip off my gums, AND bit a hole all the way through my tongue.

^^^^What the fuck!! Epic! I'm suprised there is no stories of pipe mangalage in here?? Pipe is the most brutal place to fuck up period.... Well, besides Alaska, but still... Has everyone just swerved pipe this season, or just got awesome at it???

DUDE WTF JENSEN OMG DAMN

Broke My collarbone second to last day of season. I just tried a simple nollie backscratcher shifty off a knoll, popped didnt get enough air and caught both tips on the snow, catapulted onto my collar and heard it snap. Skied down to hospital on mtn, got some loritabs and sling and was on my way.
Sucks though, Im prob not gonna get surgery, I do have insurance, but not sure if its worth it. I can live with a crooked collar bone. I just hope it heals decently and quickly, I want to go skating and play soccer lol

Cannon box with a practically non existent landing. Despite riding by the landing like four times and assuming I'd loose speed on the box and sticky snow I over shot and apparently completely tore my acl and partially tore the lateral meniscus. FML, it doesn't even hurt right now, but that pretty much ruins my whole summer of surfing, skating and soccer season-which is now.

I've broken my right collarbone twice and my left one once and noone ever talked about surgery....
It is the NHS though....
Got a decent step in my left collarbone from a dub 12 that went tits up.
I say dub 12, i mean i was playing frisbee when i was 7 and got decked by my sister.
HARDCORE!
Only had a broken thumb this season from skiing

backseated and under rotated 3 on like a 35 to my hip... on the knuckle... went to the hospital said it was broken it wasnt just swelled like a mother and i was out for 2 weeks with not being 100% for atleast a good month

I was going for dub cork 12, overrotated and over shot on Saturday. Possible broken pelvis, my eye is swollen shut and my brain is bleeding (hematoma)

Tried a 5 on a jump that was waaaay too big. I stupidly thought i would need to over rotate (idk what goes on in my head) I start to spin, come around the 360, and realize I'm still way up in the air. I turn to about 630 probably less, and fall flat on my wrist in an awkward position. For some unknown reason, I barely sprained it and was in a splint for a week. WTF?

Normally I'm pretty conservative when it comes to my skiing, but I got a bit over excited on a pow pow day this Winter and sent it over a 30ft cliff. Unfortunately I didn't know the snow at the top was only thinly covering jagged rocks which caused me to double eject onto my head. Luckily my helmet, shovel blade and padded shorts took the brunt of the impact, protecting my upper body, but I broke my foot and finger having slid down the rock face below. Season ender. Ah well.

i was just learning threes and decided to take the third one bigger... went faster then i needed and overrotated and landed backseat. broken wrist... stuck in a cast that goes all the way to my shoulder.

I over shot a 50ft jump by about 15ft, doing a cork 360, upon landing my binding died and I fell on my ski, lacerating my forearm and right ass cheek, and destroying my basicly brand new first drop.

first time doing a backflip during a train so i was last. came up to the lip pretty close to my friend and decided to rearrange my angle so i wouldnt collide with my friend and didnt have enough time to tuck back for my pop but sent it anyways. i jumped and did the motion but somehow my head just kept looking straight so i knew something was wrong and just hoped for the best, ended up landing on my neck and compressing my chest. to give you an idea of how bad i compressed; i drew myself a mustache with black marker for the day and i had traces of it on my left boob. nothing serious tho, just back and chest pains.

i went for switch 10 and only got switch 9 but landed super forward seat for some reason and twisted my ankle. it hurt so much for 2 days and then it was fine. i got pretty lucky this season.

This, happened to me like 3 times this season at Avila. I got my lesson now, speedcheck for the first run, not backflip. What was the jump size when you crashed? Because every times it happens I have the reflex to put my hands in front of me and absorb most of the shock before I scrap my face on the ground, so my guess is you hooked on something bigger than 40 feet?.

went for a blindswap on a gnarly down flat down, under rotated and backflipped off the end with a head plant in the middle, second concussion in two months.  luckily i didn't slam too many times this year.

hitting a flat down, caught an edge over the kink but managed to slide the rest of the rail one footed. faceplanted into a pile of snow formed to the right of the landing by the rail jam earlier that day. my braces put 4 nice cuts into my top lip and i bled like hell from the mouth

I misjudged the gap on to a down rail I had hit the day before.
came in way to hot and did some fancy double-eject-to-wicked-faceplant and ended up aggravating my concussion. also a bit of bruised ego to go along with it.

i did the same but a front flip. i barely over rotated and double ejected cracked my rib on my pole and slammed my face in and got a concussion and whiplash. my back is still out and so is my hip

i had two really awful crashes pain and destruction wise this season, although i don't think they looked gnarly at all. first one was on new years, i slammed my knee into a rail, and got a bad contusion on the kneecap, it still is painful if i kneel on it. that put me on crutches for a few weeks then the day back skiing i didnt pop enough on a backy and broke my collarbone in three pieces which ended my season. had to have surgery and all that fun stuff

was at marmot and had been hitting one of the smoothest trannies i ever hit. on like my 5th run through i thought i'd pop a bit into a rotation. turns out i had too much speed and went straight up and overshot on top of it. i was daffying hardcore to get my weight forward. i was like 20 feet above the jump and nearly all teh way down when i hit. hit kinda 90ish and flipped right over. dub eject and faceplant.

Embarrassingly it was on a groomer... was fanging it down a ridge, full tilt kinda stuff... came into a pocket of nice wind blown snow and went to crank a big turn when my left heelpiece ripped out. I didn't last long on 1 ski and ended up doing a full speed tomahawking yardsale on a bit of relatively docile hardpack groomer. I fell through a group of race kids out training, they all had a good laugh as I tumble-weeded past. Bastards. And just to really make my day on each flip I could see my ski fucking off further and further down the hill at a ridiculous speed since the brake and heelpiece were 20 meters back up where the disaster all began.
Tore my MCL and some cartilage and grazed up my chin when I finally came to a stop but otherwise got off pretty lightly, I would say.
