What is your favourite war movie, this thread is generally directed to the guys.

Mine has got to be "Kingdom of Heaven" the crusades were fucking badass and this movie historically represents them well.

Honestly I didnt think it was all that good. Plus whenever I watch it I just imagine playing MoH: Frontline all over again since they are both pretty much the same.

yea and its generally accepted that frontline was one of the worst moh games ever.

now allied assault....that movie basically stole the D-Day scene from private ryan, yet it was still so good.

Yeah of course. These are the best fantastic movies ever made IMO.

Jarhead and Hurt lockers (even if the oscar should have gone to Inglourious Basterds) were pretty good too cause they emphasis on the soldiers itself more than on the war they were in.

Haha, me too. I wore out my Memphis Belle VHS tape so it didn't work anymore :( but then I got it on DVD. That is a great movie.

Windtalkers (kind of, I just hate Nicholas Cage)

And I don't know who said it earlier, but the Pacific to me has been disappointing as well. I haven't said anything about it because I appreciate the historically accuracy of the story going on, but I feel like the episodes are short and not well told. I don't need to see guns blazing the whole time, but I often find myself losing interest. I feel like BoB episodes were at least a full hour long. Oh well, maybe they just set the bar so high the first time around that anything else will seem second fiddle.

It amazes me that people are saying Flags of our Fathers and not Letters from Iwo Jima, which was a significantly better movie. But then again people are also saying shit like windtalkers and We were soldiers so i shouldn't really be surprised.
