Liberty Lte: LENGTH

Hi,

I'm 5,9 and 145 pounds. I'm hesitating between the Liberty LTE 171 or the 178 cm... what would you recommand?

and what are the factors I should consider in  order to make my decision?

That kind of depends.  If you like to hit more rails than jumps, go for the 171.  But I think at your weight the 178 would be good for jumps and rails.  If you  mount them more forward, then go for the 178.  I like mine at Cab Forward.  I am 5'9" and 150 lbs and don't think the 178 is too long at all.  Such a baller ski.  Get it, you won't be dissapointed.

I'm 5'8" 155lbs, I'm getting the 178 FOR SURE. I have the 171 Phil Laroses right now, only rode them for a day, they were really fun on rails and stuff, but they just felt too short during landings, and they felt while skiing in general. Get the 178, you wont feel a difference on rails and you'll be able to land SO much easier on bigger features.

yeah but this year I had the 4FRNT steele spence 178 cm and I did not really liked my experience with them... maybe because they were too heavy compared to the liberty...

I've never ridden the STLs, but I would imagine the LTEs will be much easier to throw around due to how light weight they are.  Super poppy and fun.  I only weigh a few more pounds then you and never felt my 178s were too long by any means.

Can't go wrong with 178, they are really light too so that's not a factor. Go for it.

Not only will they be lighter, they'll be softer, and with a softer ski you want more length cause it'll help with the landings.
