And what skis are recomended for this?

i ride a pair of 185 volkls for bigger jumps, and butters are a true challenge on them.

butters come from controlling your weight over the tails or nose. so once you can pressure your skis, just pput all your weight in to the nose or tail when you start a spin on the snow. trust your skis (tanner hall armadas) to put you back upright and youll be steezin those buttas.

Line Anthems are PERFECT for buttering. After like maybe 10 times using them, they get super noodly and flexy so ya perfect for butters

Uhh lean out front throw your weight and keep your head and shoulders looking around...

I ride chronics and weigh 150 lbs and butters arnt a problem at all... so skis dont really matter that much

yeah, you should start by doing small 180 and just keep touching the snow with your noses. Than simply try to jump harder and tilt more evry time you try...once you perfect long 180 butters you can spin and extra speed rotation at the end and thre comes a but'3.

k2's are nice and buttery, especially the Kung Fujas.

think of hopping a lil 180 and landing pressing on your noses, then pop out of it like a switch 180, and just butter that shit out. best to do off small drops, knolls, etc.

does anyone know how to to nose butters without fucking up your groin? i can get my weight forward enough but i always tweak my groin for some reason

i could see that being true. arent they stiff as hell. however i have also heard that they are amazing for spring skiing and in the slush.

just put all ur wieght on ur tips and pop just a bit and spin a little... itll coem around and it feels wierd at first but ull get used to it... oo and u want a real fley ski like a line park ski of liek t hall armadas soemthing that u can flex easily with ur hands

try to do it like this ^ instead of how the guy does it in that little vid posted. try to do them like this

1. carve into a knuckle  or the edge of a cat track (little easier)
2. hop a little 180 then sort of bounce off your tips and bring your knees up. bringing your knees up and really getting an actual bounce off your tips is what makes them look and feel much better. more like a snowboard butter, than a ballet skiing trick from the 70's.
3. spot your landing to stomp.
4. ride out in a carve like a G.
5. practice, practice, practice, youll soon be able to go faster and faster and go bigger and bigger.

also make sure to detune your tips and tails, as well as a good 3-4 inches from the contact point. be prepared to catch an edge more than a few times, and its going to hurt a lot.

heres my problem.......
i lean on my tips alot and i end up double ejecting...... though i think it is the skis that  i have (rosigingol scratch fs) but i am getting new armada ar6s so those could help

Multi cambered park skis like armada alpha 2s are sick for buttering.

If your ski is really soft then you can press it out easily but it has no rebound to pop you up off the ground. Too stiff and it's really hard to press it out
