This.

He is an above average midwest park skier with some good skills, but showed an absolute terrible attitude towards competitors and judges. I lost all my respect for him at that contest.

I personally know him, do all his filming, and even though those kids who are talking shit prolly wont believe me he is not a dick at all. This was brought up by the same kids in an earlier post about Spencer this year and spencer personally apologized saying "I didnt mean to be a dick to you if i was.. i think i did have headphones in and sorry agian. I try not to snake people but i just want to get as many practice runs in as i can, i believe that is understandable. Sorry if i came off as a dick to you" He obviously cares about what people think of him and wouldnt want to tarnish his reputation, even though a few kids on here are trying to do just that. If you dont believe me you can talk to skiers like Hornbeck and Downey who we spent a whole week with and others from Michigan. This kid works his ass off ever season (which is only about 3 solid months), and is very dedicated, and if he had an off day the day you met him he was prolly just frustrated and did not want to talk to you. AS he said earlier he was sorry. hope this clears some false rumors about him.

It's true. I've been at a few contests with him and he was being a dick to almost everyone. But be careful about voicing your opinion on his attitude... you might get several PMs from his friends threatening you like I did last time I said he was a dick in a thread.

Finally. I may not know him personally but it seems as if the only people who are hatin on him and sayin he is a dick are people who barely know him from a comp or something. I will say once again that everytime i have met/talked with Spencer he has been nothin but cool to me.

i think most people get arrogance and just bein annoyed or in the zone mixed up
most people in the midwest/east prolly know who he is and when ppl see someone in the industry thats getting there name out and go zomg its ______!!!  then when this person doesnt say hey or something that automatically makes them a dick?? fuck that!  they just wanna be treated like everyone else and have fun! and being in a comp, some people get in the zone. i know kids that dont say a word during a comp! just listen to music and do work! its not arrogance its being in the zone getting stoked!

I know two kids that competed in the midwest open and when they returned home they both said the kid acted like a complete dick bag...they were kinda suprised because he's a pretty damn good skier but they just couldnt get over how much up an asshole he was when he was with the other riders and judges
