I first started off on a little kawasaki ninja 250.. Great beginners bike, weighs practically nothing and has decent power for such a small bike, not to mention i was getting around 80 mpg on it. You'll probably want something bigger after a month or two though.
seconded on the ninja 250. Bored factor really depends on how fast you wanna go, it's a pretty quick little bike but it's got nothing over 110 mph or so. I've been riding mine since 05 and it has 11000 miles on it. Still runs like a champ.

when i turned 16 i bought a moped so i would have something to whip around on before i had my license and that shit was sick, painted it flat black and had chrome rims. it gets like 85 mpg and $4 filled up the tank. shit beasted to for a moped haha i still rip around on it
you'll outgrow the 250 really fast. and they are kind of gutless. i would get a motorcycle with some power on tap so when you need it, it can get you out of hair situations, such as getting away from dangerous drivers.
my suggestions would be,
honda CB's from the 1970's
ive seen your other posts man, you're pretty much a piece of shit, get over yourself. - charmander
Find a cruiser, like a Honda Shadow, or Yamaha V Star, those are badass and imo much more comfortable to ride. Pussy magnet too.
me: "you should just say you're 17"
mikey:: "But wouldn't she know when she like (mutters off) downstairs"
me: "You have a small penis, don't you"
miley: "well not very small, but..."
