This weeks’ topic was chosen by you guys, and it’s SELF PORTRAIT

Submissions will not be accepted after Sunday March 14th @ 11:59pm.

Guidelines:
-you now have TWO full weeks to think about and take your photo
-you may post 1 PHOTO ONLY
-if your photo strays from the topic, explain why
-no hating other people's photos, constructive criticism only (and welcomed! I never see any)
-we will have a voting thread to determine top 5, then we will vote again to find the winner
-post your own photos
-click on embedded photos before judging, NS drains the color from them
-winner chooses the next topic
-you cannot win 2 times in a row, you can win twice, just not in a row

100% of this was shot by me, and it is 100% unedited.

it was shot on my canon 400d ( rebel xti ) the sutter speed was 30 seconds, and the fstop is at 5.

I set up my camera, in my basement, then shut off the lights so it was completly dark, i took the pic, then ran around in the back round with my ipod in one hand, and cell phone in the other for the first 10 seconds or so, then sat in a chair that i had set up with the cell phone, and ipod pointed at my face for the rest of the time. super jankey set up, but it worked. hope you enjoy!!

i think the goal of changing contest rules was to avoid the repetition of photos...so far i've seen at least 3 photos that people have used in other rounds of this contest...let's try to avoid this

Generally I'd agree, but because this wasn't explained directly before hand I think they should be allowed. It's like what Despite said, at least they shot something intentionally for the competition which is what this should be all aboot. Let the voting reflect adherence to the theme rather than excluding them all together.

a photograph doesnt need to be one picture. compilations of pictures lead to a more interesting picture that tells the viewer something more about the subject usually
