So yeah, I worked at this mountain for 2 years a couple of years ago. Ended up getting fired by the guy who's running the park. This is how awesome they're park has gotten since then. Warning, you may lol a little bit

This is the comment I posted for them, even though it will get deleted. I gave a shit load more constructive criticism and advice on their facebook all season. They don't take any of it seriously though. When they have brand new equipment, a ridiculously nice set of piston bullies all brand new in the last years for a grooming team. A brand new for this season park bully that they don't use. Hell they haven't even moved the tower guns from the old park to the new park for snowmaking capacity. And they have just amount limitless snowmaking abilities with the money that mountain can drop. Horrible competition setup/running, horrible marketing for the comps they have. They just don't give a fuck.

Nice, had to censor your comments and ratings. Why post it if you can't handle feedback? You have the money to build a good park. You have good grooming equipment. You just need to take the extra step. You have a wide long trail. If you get some better rails for the next season, build better jumps, there's no reason you can't be a competing park. Build 2 take offs for the jumps, a small and a big side. Plenty of space on that trail. This way you can give the better riders/skiers a nice tall mellow jump, and also give the beginners/ intermediates something to hit. Having a couple jumps in a row would also be nice. If you get some new rails and set them up right, you could have great flow to the park. With the triple chair right there that park has so much potential for a lapable park with some nice flow to it. You should really consider going the extra mile on it. These days it's important to kids to see a mountain with a good park. I understand your business will be good regardless. It's just one trail though. Even some of your kids club kids are really getting into park riding. It's not something that's going to die out. It's here to stay and you should address it, and plan for the future.

Figured I'd try one last time.  Since there's so many kids at that mountain dying for a good park. I'll never buy a pass there again, even though i literally drive a mile from the base area to get to west mt. (work) or mt snow. and any other mountains in vt. Just such a shame for people that have the money and capacities to waste it by not giving a fuck.

even these days there are still mountains that don't allow snowboarding. It's insane. I can't even understand it. It's like some people refuse to move on from the 70s 80s

Its this kid named chad, I went to school with him @ ACC when I was still there (we got kicked out of the same major for smoking weed together hahaha). I got him his job there, now look at me. No loyalty.

He's a sponsored mtn biker which MIGHT be where he got the red bull sticker, but more likely ebay, sicne they are pretty "exclusive" (am I right in assuming that?)

rusty, you missed the best part. they made a canon rail out of those parkinglot barriers. it would have been pretty good but it wobbled like crazy and the barrier was at a different angle than what the jump set you up for. it was a fun time, too bad you never went to gore haha.

Man my hill has bought a bunch of those snow "cannons". no these aint your regular snow guns like the pussy tube shit. It's a cannon with a big fucking fan and they make sick snow, and they have also put a huge extension to the lodge, yet we only have 3 rails and 5 boxes. A couple years ago they took all the sick park features threw them in a ditch and covered it with tons of chopped down trees. I would love to to have the park you do. That's how bad it is.

the date is irrelevant. nothing has changed since this was posted. I went yesterday for a little christmas eve fun and it was miserable. I don't feel like getting into the specifics but look at their park page on their site. its pathetic

and as for the jumps they need to be taller with taller takeoffs and steeper, longer landings. they try to just put a kicker on a flat section and have a natural hill be the landing. its retarded. good jumps are started from snowmaking on flat sections.

This is a mountain that builds a lift just for the hell of it. Oh, new lodge? No problem. They can drop a dumb amount of money on anything. They have a very solid grooming fleet, very good snowmaking system, a lot of employees, and a fuck ton of $ to spend.


I mean I know some places expand and stuff like what you're saying, but this place can spend a ridiculous amount of money on anything.

I heard that it's actually decent this year so far. Apparently there's a 24 foot aframe tube and a 20 ish flat down tube? Kind of interesting choice on the tubed aframe. Nice that they built some shit with length finally.

I don't wish anything bad on em. Maybe they'll actually build a park that isn't horrible and get some booters that aren't total death. I won't believe it till I see it though.

Was actually stoked. Always talking about how I want to build something like a 20-6 or 20-8 down flat out of snowmaking tube. Somebody told me they build one that size and it was sick. Honestly hoped to be surprised for the best. Not really surprised that it looks kind of whack.


That's why I said I'll believe it when I see it or something in the one comment. Oh well.
