I used to race. at races there are hundreds of identical pairs of skis. this has happened to me more than once.

I can just imagine the comments from the 14 year old wannabe gangsters.

Let us think about this...

If someone wanted to steal your skis, they wouldnt click into your skis and ski away, because chances are the bindings would not be fitted to the right size, they would just grab them and disapear.

If someone clicked into them I would assume it was a simple case of them mistaking the skis for their own and politely tell them that.

or id follow them until they stopped somewhere and took off their skis, then id run up and steal them back. or wait until they were getting in their car, walk up without saying anything, take the skis out of their box or rack or whatever walk away calmly, then turn around and as they are staring at me, pull out my wiener and do circles while calmly saying booyah.

i have always wondered this question.  After many multivairable calculus classes spend wondering (/claim) i decided that i would have not fucking idea the rage that would come out.  All i know is that somewhere Zach De La Rocha and the rest of Rage Against the Machine would be summoned to play killing in the name of and all hell would come out of my ginger fury.

walk out a bit, then walk back to where they are facing me and just act all calm. then bring their face down to my knee and then kick their knees with my boots. would most likely fuck them up. i almost did the knee to face thing to one of my friends who thought it would be funny to steal the bindings off my hellbents.
