Depends.  If they were my park skis I would watch them ride away and pay the $50 deductible to claim them on my property insurance.  If they were my Billy Goats it would be a swift pole to the neck to save them.

Walk up behind them slowly and tackle them, and say something like, I hope you Didn't plan on stealing these? WE'll have a nice talk with the police about that!- something along those lines, but i use a lock becuase my mountain has been infamous for stolen equipment and i rrarely on occasion do not lock them, but i try very hard not to keep them unlocked

depends on my initial take on the person. if they looked like some doosher i'd be like "what the fuck do you think your doing buddy?" then swiftly kick them in the face. (roundhouse style) If they looked like a decent human being making a miraculous mistake, i'd probably be like "excuse me sir, I do beleive you have the wrong pair of skis on your feet. Those are mine" then if they realized their mistake and politely apologized I'd refrain from swiftly (roundhouse) kicking them in the face.
